Barton had a visit from some of @gmpolice mini police to have a look around the Helicopter this morning. Some great questions asked, clearly some detectives in the making not pilots 😉👮🏼♂️👮🏼♀️🚁
We have delivered the first two H135s to @NPAShq! 🚓🚁🇬🇧
These aircraft mark the start of a fleet modernisation programme to provide enhanced air support across England and Wales. The transition includes H135 familiarisation and specialist mission equipment integration.
NPAS leaders visited @AirbusHeli production line in Germany as work continues on our next‑gen fleet.
The 1st two training aircraft are due at @Airbus UK end of Feb, with familiarisation training planned for early 2026.

View from the office, Thursday the Barton crew whilst on their way back to base assisted @cheshirepolice@gmpolice with a stolen vehicle pursuit. Occupants decamped & attempted to hide… in steps our ‘Thermal camera’… two bins appear warm, we give this rubbish hiding spot 2/10!
Tried to capture the Snow Moon, looks better in person from the base #snowmoon2026.
Attended the Dawlish area earlier in the shift to assist with a missing person search and who was located whilst on scene. Being supported. @DC_Police#teamwork ^BM
When the region gets two taskings at the same time in two different force areas….. we deploy two aircraft 🚁🚁 G-EMID & G-POLG departing Barton base last night to assist @gmpolice and @LancsPolice minutes apart.
@jet2tweets I would like to say a massive thank you to the pilots who allowed me to sit in the cockpit for a chat and some pictures. Please apologise to them both as I weren’t very chatty I couldn’t hear due to my ears not being great. 😫☺️ Details for tracing the flight below:
Over the next few weeks our eagle eyed followers may notice a slight change as the Barton base takes control of G-EMID from the fleet to cover for scheduled maintenance. Distinctive for its high skid design it enables us to keep online whilst our regular 🚁 has some TLC.
