BREAKING: MAGA suffers a crushing defeat as the Iowa Supreme Court rules against a law that would have largely banned abortion in the state.

The 3-3 split decision upheld a lower court's 2019 ruling that blocked GOP Gov. Kim Reynolds from instituting a so-called "fetal heartbeat" that would have banned the procedure as soon as cardiac activity was detected — usually around six weeks into the pregnancy.

The ruling is a major win for advocates of reproductive rights but there is still so much work left to do. We need to enshrine abortion rights at a federal level. If we fail to do so, these religious radicals will just keep fighting until we end up living in a Christian Nationalist nightmare.
