@tsschmidty@KeeganKorf@ChapmanU "Our online narrative should reflect our true selves". @KeeganKorf such powerful words & such an important message to anyone using any kind of social media, no matter their age! It's so important to understand how our internet selves reflect back on us @tsschmidty#IES451Chat
Loved learning about "The Station Rotation Model" As a teacher it seems like a great way to incorporate technology, keep students involved, while also giving them more autonomy in their own education. Seems like a great starting point before fully onlie @tsschmidty@Catlin_Tucker
@tsschmidty@ChapmanU My biggest concern in implementing blended learning in my future classroom is ensuring that students are using the tools responsibly & in a productive manner, for learning. I've seen my mentor teacher really struggle with this. @tsschmidty@ChapmanU#IES451Chat#BlendedLearning
I couldn't agree more with "Blended Learning in Action" that we must integrate technological tools into the classroom that students utilize in their community in order to keep their learning applicable, relevant & meaningful to them! @tsschmidty@Catlin_Tucker
Love the idea from the chapter 1 in Blended Learning in Action that โwinningโ is when a multitude of schools are involved & successful! We must create a community rather than trying to go at it individually, important for students too @catlin_tucker@tsschmidty#IES451Chat
Love the idea of using playlists not only to customize learning for students but also to ensure that they're not missing critical class time when they are unable to be physically present! https://t.co/B9cyOf9gdx #PBL#designthinking#IES451Chat@tsschmidty@ajjuliani
@tsschmidty@ChapmanU This is crucial because it allows students to personalize their learning as well as provides them with a safe way to express themselves & their ideas. Finally it separates students work & represents their individuality.

@tsschmidty@ChapmanU I am currently tutoring an ELL student for a class. I use technology everyday to help me further her learning & communicate effectively. For example I use PearDeck to make it interactive and translation softwares so the instructions are in English & spanish!

I spent some time today making a new Wakelet to keep track of all of the new amazing and helpful resources I'm finding called Resources for Educators! https://t.co/bvdWPYp22B @wakelet@tsschmidty#IES451chat#SPEDchat#ATchat
@tsschmidty @Flipgrid @ChapmanU Love the idea of allowing students to use masks while using flipgrid. So helpful for those who don't want to show their face or are embarrassed & simultaneously allows each student to have some fun while representing themselves & how they want to be seen

@tsschmidty There are numerous ways in which to incorporate tech & I believe it's our responsibility to find various tools & allow students to discover what work's for their learning. Students can use their voices authentically & productively & also encourages teachers collaboration!
Absolutely love this quote from What Connected Educators Do Differently. Relationships are so important both within schools & beyond in order to "exchange ideas, share stories, grow, & learn" (81) as teachers

This TEDx talk is mind blowing in such a simple way. The idea of recognizing & celebrating the small achievements & successes is so important, especially to developing minds. Also love the idea of making leadership more accessible!

Loved hearing various opinions on what it means to be a connected educator! Some of the key ideas I noticed were "resource, mindset, co-learner, & motivate ". Such important ideas for todays educators!

@tsschmidty@ChapmanU Yes I believe social media should be incorporated into the classroom when appropriate. It's become such a big part of our daily lives & students need to know and learn how to use it responsibly and productively.

@BerkeleyEverett I think it's so important that we not minimize students problem solving processes and instead value them. I think that it's so important for them to understand why they got the answer they did and to work through their own ideas and reasoning.
