The Quiet Containment of India
U.S. policy toward South Asia appears to be reverting to a Cold War paradigm, with Washington re-embracing Pakistan and pursuing a broader regional strategy aimed at constraining India’s rise. As the U.S. deputy secretary of state declared on Indian soil in March, Washington will not repeat its China mistake by allowing India to emerge as America’s economic rival. The blunt remarks sent shockwaves through strategic circles. Coupled with its more conciliatory approach toward China, the Trump administration’s policy suggests it no longer subscribes to the “shared democratic values” narrative that underpinned U.S.-India ties over the past two decades.
The U.S. assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asia, for his part, has repeatedly said that Washington’s primary regional objective is to prevent any single power from dominating the subcontinent. Many in India see that objective as closely mirroring China’s own interest in keeping India boxed in.
Against this backdrop, Western actors have begun rehyphenating India and Pakistan, including under the guise of promoting India-Pakistan dialogue through Track II initiatives they sponsor.
The U.S. relationship with India has not merely lost its romanticism or strategic rationale; it has become overtly transactional, with Washington’s focus shifting to securing a larger share of the world’s fastest-growing major market.

What will you do if your seniors torture you , make you murgha in OT , make you stand whole night and ask for selfie every hour to show your timing and location ?
This is happening in GMC Bhavnagar , Gujarat where some animals in ortho dept are doing it with their juniors .
Each one of them should be terminated and their professors and HOD should be investigated for becoming spectators !

His mom taught computer science. He built the infrastructure that powers the world's AI.
Meet Rahul Patil, current CTO of Anthropic.
> Born and raised in Bengaluru. Mom was a computer science teacher.
> Studied at Baldwin, Joseph and PES University.
> Not an IIT kid. Not a Stanford dropout.
> Just a kid who grew up watching code at home.
> Worked at Microsoft.
> Then Amazon.
> Then Oracle.
> Then Stripe as CTO for 5 years.
> 20+ years building invisible infrastructure.
> The systems nobody sees but everyone depends on.
> October 2025, Anthropic called.
> Not for research. Not for AI breakthroughs.
> For infrastructure.
> Compute. Inference. Scaling.
> The unglamorous work that makes everything else possible.
> Why Anthropic hired him?
> Because Claude's infrastructure is cracking under demand.
> OpenAI and Meta are spending billions on compute.
> Anthropic needs someone who's scaled systems at the biggest tech companies.
> "Impossible things are possible in India."
> That's what he said at the developer summit.
> A Bengaluru kid. A CS teacher's son.
> Now building the backbone of AI.
Absolute legend.
Deeply shocking to read this official US statement, which contains absolutely no expression of regret or condolence for the loss of innocent Indian lives. How can a “friend” and strategic partner be so deeply insensitive?
Why couldn’t a non-compliant commercial vessel have been stopped using other, non-lethal means? Is it not possible to disable a ship's propulsion or steering without firing missiles targeted to kill civilian crew members?
Practically every merchant ship navigating these crucial waters has Indian crew on board. Are they all considered fair game for US missiles now?
This approach is unacceptable and I hope @DrSJaishankar had said so to @marcorubio.
Why are we indirectly justifying the US action by referring to OFAC and using terms like non- compliance?
These are illegal actions even if the ships are not Indian- flagged.
Our concern is that Indian seamen have been killed and no regret has been expressed by CENTCOM.
If India and the US cooperate on maritime security in the Indian Ocean, hold elaborate naval exercises, subscribe to the concept of the Indo- Pacific, the US can’t be indifferent to killing Indian seamen in the Indian Ocean whatever the circumstances.
Viceroy Gor needs to be called in ! Period ! All negotiations on trade deal need to stop. There is a limit of America to keep attacking India Manned crews !
Who the hell is United States to decide what is sanctioned where will i get my oil from. It is now time to defy & assert !
Chinese tankers & shadow fleet is also going, but Americans dare not touch it !
This is not done @narendramodi & @DrSJaishankar ! Atleast speak up for your men. Name USA call it out. Just for few Oligarchs their business dealings, National interests cannot be sacrificed !

India is entering that extremely dangerous zone where sons and daughters of several top policymakers, industrialists, civil servants, defence officials and politicians are settled in America, or are citizens of America.
How can they ever take on America when push comes to shove? They'll never ever push back, given direct family interests.
China sidelines all such officials as a principle. No compromise.
But here? They're leading the show.
