@NotChilledOut That sounds like some amazing research!, Im so glad someone else is interested in this too. Im mostly read about this topic as a hobby, but it is something that at research levelcould really improve how we understand wind damage in future assesments

@NotChilledOut It would be interesting to research the physical force required to break branches from different families, and how bark structure affects wind resistance. Debarking is often considered a sign of violent damage, but the bark on a mesquite is very different from that of a pine
