België en Mozambique keuren ‘debt-for-climate-swap’ goed.
België scheldt deel Mozambikaanse schuld aan ons land kwijt.
In ruil zal Mozambique investeren in maatregelen die beschermen tegen de gevolgen van de klimaatcrisis.

Vanochtend vertrok eerste deel Belgische hulp naar #Gaza. Net als @antonioguterres roep ik op tot permanent staakt-het-vuren en humanitaire toegang.
Situatie is niets minder dan complete humanitaire ramp. Israël doet weinig om dit te verhelpen. We kunnen niet blijven toekijken.

Tevreden dat eerste dag #COP28 leidt tot concrete beslissingen. Vermijden & aanpakken van impact klimaatscrisis is cruciaal voor meest kwetsbare landen. Belgische ontwikkelingssamenwerking zet in op preventie. Beter voorkomen dan genezen.

Tevreden dat minstens aantal gijzelaars uit Gaza binnenkort hun geliefden terugzien.
Laat dit begin zijn van de-escalatie. Geweld biedt geen perspectief. Internationale gemeenschap heeft sleutelrol, dringend nood aan opstart vredesproces.
