@BradBMath@pwharris The Brad B Theorem - Given a x b, if we find c and d such that c and d are equidistant (in opposite directions) of a and b respectively, a x b = c x d - c and d’s distance from their midpoint squared plus the distance of a and b from that same midpoint squared
@teacher2teacher I do all the math problems I expect my students to do that day - I like doing the math and it also helps me think like the students! No matter the level or how many times I’ve done them….
@MathsCirclesOz The solutions to any equation of the form x^n = a + bi graph a regular polygon with n-sides on the complex plane - there’s something so awe inspiring when I get to show that to my students
@howie_hua One gym plate is 45lbs
Two gym plates are 90lbs
Eight gym plates are 360lbs
(Ok I can do this without the middle step but showing the thinking for all).
If each plate is 45 lbs, that’s three 15s. This means that eight 45lb plates is the same as twenty-four 15lb plates.
So 24!
@pwharris I grew up on video games and arcades so I know that 36 quarters is $9.
That means 35 quarters is $8.75.
So if we do 25x35 we get 875!
Thank you Pac-Man and DigDug!
