@JLazzy23 Downside is a turnover there and you have an odd-man rush the other way. Laf occasionally operates up high but it’s on a rotation with a D usually. Definitely a good call out though. I’d be curious to see quality chances by lines.
@JLazzy23@DailyFaceoff Caught on extended shifts was a problem last year. Love the accountability, love the question. The question actually reinforces the importance.
@zevrgurwitz@NYRLouie He’s an important part of the team and a great player, no doubting that. Watch him one-on-one defensively tho, that’s my point. That part of the game he is just not good.
@NYRShvantz@NYRLouie But we disagree with his ability to play defense. He’s cerebral and excelling a zone which is why when he is good when he doesn’t have to move or use his strength… but the game is hockey. You do have to move and strength especially on D matters.
@NYRShvantz@NYRLouie Our debate is his ability to play defense - as in when the other team has the puck lol. If you are scouting my defense for 1 shift and my line has the puck for the entire 45 second shift what would my EV Def be? That stat doesn’t show the ability of an individual to play defense
@NYRLouie He’s cerebral so in a zone he’s at his best but when matched up in a man he’s poor. His lack of speed and strength show - he’s a mismatch to take advantage of as an opponent.
@NYCTheMiC Let’s give it more than 1 game lol. I get your point, hopefully he shows more consistency. I can deal with a game or two lull but a 5 plus game stretch of coasting is no good.
@voicemorgantown Yes! We are all passionate about the team and sometimes only negativity gets posted… but let’s not take for granted the show that this guy puts on every game. Cam is a dude too. Bravo
