I'm old (mid-50s) but I keep coming back to a truism:
People hate to admit they were wrong.
They'll hold onto half-truths and malleable definitions; they'll basically do ANYTHING but admit they were wrong.
The Sandusky Case is evidence: most of society jumped in with the masses and piled on to assume guilt.
Now, we're being shown evidence by the boatload, and...well, some people may come around — I certainly have — but the vast majority will just say..."well, I still think he did it."
Good work by John Ziegler here. @Zigmanfreud is a must-follow if you want to understand what actually happened here.
Newly Uncovered Audio Evidence in the Jerry Sandusky Case: The Janitor Only Ever Said it Was NOT Sandusky He Saw (many years too early to even fit storyline)
One of the many bizarre episodes in the Jerry Sandusky case is the story of the so-called janitor episode. Jerry Sandusky was convicted of five serious charges in that situation, which had no accuser, no date, no clear location, and no direct witness who testified at trial.
Perhaps even more significantly, investigator Louis Freeh prominently, cited the “janitors” in his “Freeh Report” as heroes who helped bust open his Penn State cover-up conspiracy theory. However, this allegation was all based on the alleged eyewitness testimony of one man, James Calhoun, who was only ever on record saying that Jerry Sandusky was NOT the man he saw sexually abusing a boy when Calhoun was “a young man” (which was many decades before the allegation made against Sandusky at trial). The audio of Calhoun’s police interview was just released for the first time publicly. The key exchange comes just after the 30 minute mark.
Calhoun never testified at trial because the prosecution claimed he had dementia, so the judge somehow allowed two hearsay witnesses to take his place. Except only one was actually put on the stand, and he changed several important details of Calhoun’s allegation, including the location of it.
This entire fiasco is a perfect example of how the entire case against Sandusky and Penn State was deeply and fundamentally flawed.

Reminder: polio isn’t eradicated. PV1 was our go-to for severe disease in @profvrr’s pathogenesis model in my PhD lab. It always paralyzed the unvaccinated mice, every time.
Vaccination completely prevents it. I got my polio vax in 1980 & safely did these experiments with high titer PV1 25 yrs later because vaccines really do work
I'm still shocked that @ajwimsatt was stabbed to death on a park bench in an attempted beheading and we only found out about it because he had friends on here that brought it up.
TRUMP: “I mean, there's something wrong with a country that can allow people to write purposely negative stories.“
That’s an actual quote.
There is everything right with the USA, and our First Amendment, which “allow(s) people to write purposely negative stories.”
🇺🇸
So it looks like Trump has just reaffirmed the security relationship we already had with our democratic ally, Denmark, but he's trumpeting it as some radical breakthrough.
Fits a pattern, of course.
But if it ends this nonsensical talk about planning to annex Greenland, that's progress.

A 40 year old lady in Pennsylvania has died from measles
There is no need for this to happen
We have solved this problem by vaccines
But they won't work if people don't take them and the government attacks rather than promotes them!
How tragic for her and her family
