I liked Dolly Parton. As a kid, I saw a caricature of a hyper-sexualized woman. As I got older, I saw the kindness, business genius and humanity underneath. Then I discovered her music. That lady had a voice. She proved success doesn't require cynicism.

@SouthernKeeks It's like they never knew the 24 hour rage email rule. Sit on they rage email/post for 24 hours. After I wait, I don't always send it but when I do I always change it with more productive content. Everything worth communicating well can wait 1 day.

@SouthernKeeks The third leg of the stool is that parenthood can be really feaken hard. Nothing like a baby to rub desitin all over a Mom or Dad's self righteous and selfishness. Most seem to pass that test. Some don't.

@KiKi1185 @SouthernKeeks I ain't saying it's the same, but dang you women's hormones make men feel kind of loopy during and immediately after pregnancy. As a generally stable guy, my first born really acting and feeling like a crazy person. It was quite a jolt. No way those guys are parents.

@yesh222 How can someone not appreciate the difference between self control (not buying everything you want) vs poverty (not able to buy anything you want) self control is good ... poverty is bad... Not buying things by itself is not a virtue.

@KSPrior @CTmagazine As a non-writer, AI is great at turning my bullet points and story goals into clear, natural-sounding prose. It’s become a bit of a crutch. Though for me, writing is just a means to an end anyway. Says the Engineer.

@geoffschwartz Not too bad....it's good to work things that you may not be naturally gifted. Music especially, rather small amounts of practice can see measurable progress. Trumpet is the best.

@bonhoefferchild Cross is compelling. But does the cross reflect in unique actions of Christ followers? 12/12 never recanted. Most led to death. I think that is unique and could strengthen faith no different that receiving Christ reflecting love from a Christian. Yet, only the cross saves.

@bonhoefferchild But your proposal would require it to be common. Every apostle suffered for there eye witness testimony and all, except one that died of natural causes, died for it. They died, individually spread out over decades and continents. That is unique and many find compelling.
