Started out as another wet game this week, with the rain putting us on at least a 30-minute weather delay. Once again, I’m thankful for the work I put in this offseason practicing snaps in wet conditions after realizing at @HarvardFootball camp this summer that it was something I needed to improve immediately.

It’s one thing to work on it in training, but seeing that preparation carry over when the conditions get tough on game night makes all those reps worth it.

Still plenty of work ahead, but I’m proud of the progress and ready to keep building.

Big shoutout to our RB #1 Jayden Huff for punching in our touchdowns and QB Drake Lineberger for setting the tempo for our offense! Thank you @pepman704 for their recognition.

I’m especially grateful for my experience at @HarvardFootball camp this summer. One thing I learned there was that I needed to improve my snapping in wet conditions.

I took that home and worked on it. Fast forward to the 4th quarter of Week 1, the rain came, and that work paid off. The last clip is from those wet conditions, and the difference from where I was this summer is night and day.

Still plenty of work to do, but that’s what it’s all about.

As summer camp season comes to a close, I want to thank every college football program and coach who gave me the opportunity to step onto their field, compete, learn and get better. Grateful for every opportunity this summer with:

A lot of people told me I was crazy for attending so many camps. The travel, the camp fees, the long days! I looked at it as an investment in becoming the player I want to be.
This summer I was fortunate enough to spend more than 40 hours on college football fields learning from college coaches, competing against talented players and getting coached on the details of playing offensive line at the next level.

Some of those fields I may have never had the opportunity to see in my lifetime. I didn't just get to see them, I got to put my hand in the dirt/turf and practice on them. That's something I'll never forget! Every rep, every drill, every correction and every conversation became another piece of my development.

To every college coach who took the time to correct my stance, work on my footwork, teach me a different technique, push me through a drill or simply give me advice, the time you invested in me has become part of the path toward the player I am working to become. I especially want to thank the coaches who personally worked with me, coached me up and invested their time in my development this summer: @arudolph53 @JeffNorrid1 @GinfanteMT @Coach_KD75 @ethan_fame @CoachMatt_NCCU @gray_reed77 @CoachChris_Russ @CullenLCasey @Coach_Aurich @CoachJimJackson @Coach_Poppe @Coach_Skjold @MatthewIsom70 @Coach_Ford63 @MuellerFBCoach @BrianPAllen3 .For that, I am incredibly thankful. The knowledge and experience were worth far more to me than the price of a camp.

I came home with 40+ more hours of college level coaching and experience than I had when the summer started, along with even more reps and experience from the other camps and training opportunities I was fortunate enough to attend. But none of those opportunities happen without the coaches who have invested in me away from those college fields as well.

To my former coaches, @CoachHughes_13, and @ToR2L thank you for helping build my foundation, teaching me the game and helping shape the player I am today. The lessons you gave me didn't stay behind when I moved on. I carried them with me onto every field I stepped on this summer.

To my current coaches, @Qik_6, and @Coach_jgardner thank you for continuing to push me, develop me and prepare me for what comes next. I'm excited to bring everything I learned this summer back home and put it to work with you this season.

And to my speed coach @fo_isaac, thank you for continuing to push me outside my comfort zone and helping me become faster, more explosive and a better overall athlete.

Every coach who has invested time in me has left something with me. Your time, knowledge, support and belief have all become part of my journey. Wherever this path takes me, I know I will not have gotten there alone. A part of every success I have will belong to the people who helped me along the way.

To every coach, teammate, family member and person not mentioned who has supported this journey, thank you! Whether I someday have the opportunity to wear one of these uniforms or those camps were the only time I ever step onto those fields, I will always be grateful that I had the opportunity to compete there, learn there and become a little better there.

Now it's time to take everything I learned and put it to work under the Friday night lights.

Not every opportunity is about chasing hype. For me, it is about finding the right place to continue playing the game I love while pursuing an elite academic career.

I was invited earlier this year by @MuellerFBCoach and appreciated the opportunity to travel to St. Louis and compete at the @washufootball Prospect Camp. Working with @BrianPAllen3 gave me another chance to sharpen my technique in the trenches. While the incredible campus showed me how special the full student-athlete experience at WashU can be.

Thank you to @CoachAaronKeen and the entire WashU Football staff for having me out.

Wishing the Bears nothing but success as they begin their first season in the NCAC. I have no doubt they will make an immediate impact in their new conference!

Excited and grateful for the invitation and opportunity to attend the @washufootball Prospect Camp this Sunday!

I’ve spent the dead period working with my speed coach, @fo_isaac , and I’m ready to put that training into action. I’m also looking forward to seeing firsthand how WashU combines elite academics with a highly competitive football program.

The Gateway to the West could become the gateway to the next chapter of my collegiate journey!

It was great to return to @ElonFootball for the July 11 Prospect Camp after attending last summer and see how much I have grown as an offensive lineman. Elon always delivers an excellent football camp, and I was grateful to attend again this year.

I appreciated the opportunity to be coached by @Coach_Ford63 in his new role with the offensive line and to learn from his instruction. It was also great seeing @CoachMChristian again. As my area recruiter, I hope to see you at some of my games this season.

Thank you to @MatthewIsom70 for inviting me back, and thank you to @TonyTrisciani and the entire Elon Football staff for hosting another top-notch camp.

I definitely plan to be back in the stands at Elon for at least one game this season.

On July 9th, I had the opportunity to compete at the @CULionsFB Football Camp.

Columbia was the first program to invite me to camp this year, so finally stepping onto the field and competing in front of their coaching staff made the experience especially meaningful.

A special thank you to @Coach_Skjold for the invitation and for the time he invested in coaching me throughout camp. I appreciated every correction, every lesson, and the energy he brought to helping me improve.

I also want to give a special shout-out to @StoneTheis for taking the time to speak with me and share valuable advice. Moments like that are what make camp experiences bigger than football.

The camp also allowed me to connect with coaches from other programs and begin building new relationships that I am grateful for.

Thank you to @Coach_Poppe and the entire Columbia coaching staff for showing me the Lion mentality and what it truly means to “Roar, Lion, Roar.”

I left Columbia better than I arrived, and now it is time to put what I learned to work.

I had an incredible time competing at the Harvard Football Camp! It was super fun, very educational, and a great opportunity to learn while competing alongside other talented athletes.

I also reached a new personal milestone by running a 5.7-second 40-yard dash weighing in at 300 lbs. A little over a week earlier, I ran a 5.9, so seeing that improvement was a great feeling and proof that the work I have been putting into my speed is paying off with @fo_isaac.

Honestly, I loved that it rained. It made the camp even more fun and gave me the opportunity to compete in a different condition. Snapping a wet football was a valuable learning experience and showed me an area I can improve and practice more during training.

A special shoutout to Harvard offensive line Coach Jim Jackson. I have attended multiple camps, and sometimes there is one particular athlete or small group that receives most of the attention. Coach Jackson was different. He took the time to work with every offensive lineman and made sure each person received meaningful coaching, corrections, and encouragement, no matter who they were.

Another thing that stood out was the culture around the program. Several Harvard players I met around campus and during the camp talked about the team being a true brotherhood. Hearing that consistently from different players made it feel genuine and showed me that the relationships within the program extend beyond the football field. Huge shoutout to @Brandon85278853 for taking his time to give me advice and to @tdfein for sharing his experience about the team.

Thank you @Coach_Aurich for the invite, and the entire @HarvardFootball staff for the opportunity. I am leaving Cambridge with great memories, more knowledge, and even more motivation to keep improving!

Happy Fourth of July weekend! I am grateful for the freedom to chase big goals, put in work, and keep building toward the future.

After the holiday, I am headed into another big week with three camps at schools that all have law schools, an important part of my long-term goal of playing college football while continuing toward a career in law.
