من يخجل بهويته التاريخية، أو يساوم عليها طلبا لإرضاء الآخرين، يفقد نفسه قبل أن يفقد انتماءه.

ولسنا طارئين على هذه الأرض، ولا ملحقا ثقافيا بأحد.
ننتمي إلى الأمة المارونية.
هويتنا اللبنانية متجذّرة في التراث السرياني الماروني الممتدّ لستة عشر قرنا، سابقٍ لكلّ التصنيفات القومية التي نشأت في القرنين الأخيرين وأعادت رسم المنطقة وفق مفاهيمها الدينية والسياسية.

والأمة ليست بالعدد، والعدد لا يصنع أمة، انما يصنعها الانتماء الروحي وا��ذاكرة والاستمرارية والوعي بالذات.

من يريد ان يتعرّف على الصورة المختصرة والاصدق لهويتنا، فهي تتجلّى ببساطة، وبالفعل، في ضريح مار شربل ومنسكته.
ومار شربل هو مرآة لمار مارون.

نعم، نتكلم العربية ونتقنها. وقد ساهمنا في نهضتها الحديثة وطوّرنا أساليبها ومعاجمها، لكن إسهامنا الثقافي لم يكن إعلانا قوميا بقدر ما كان فعلا حضاريا في سياقٍ لغوي مفتوح.
اما من اختار من اترابنا أن يربط هذا الجهد بانتماء قومي، فقد فعل ذلك باسمه لا باسمنا، وكتب ذكراه على الرمال.

أتقنّا الآرامية – السريانية، واليونانية، والعبرانية واللاتينية...
فهل صرنا يونانيين أو عبرانا او رومان؟
وأبدعنا في الفرنسية والإنجليزية...
فهل أصبحنا فرنسيين أو أنغلوساكسون؟

لطالما كانت اللغة في تاريخنا أداة حضارية للبقاء عبر الزمن، من دون ان تؤلف تعريفا أنثروبولوجيا للذات.

كما نتقن اليوم الإنجليزية لأنها لغة العلوم والتكنولوجيا والاقتصاد،
وكما أتقنّا الفرنسية في زمن التواصل الأوروبي فالانتداب،
وكما استُعملت اليونانية والعبرانية واللاتينية في العلوم واللاهوت والتعليم الكنسي،
كذلك دخلت العربية إلى حياتنا لأنها كانت لغة المجال العام في المشرق بعد التحوّلات التاريخية الكبرى.

فهل إتقان العرب أنفسهم اليوم للغة الإنجليزية، ومفاخرتهم بالتخرّج من كبريات الجامعات البريطانية والأميركية، يجعلهم أنغلوساكسون؟

اللغة أداة معرفة، والتعليم مساحة انفتاح، لكن الهوية ليست شهادة جامعية ولا لسانا مكتسبا.
كما أن العربي لا يفقد انتماءه بإتقانه الإنجليزية،
كذلك لا تُحدَّد هوية أي جماعةٍ تاريخية باللغة التي تستعملها حاليا.

الانتماء القومي ليس نتيجة مهارة لغوية،
والهوية لا تتبدّل بتبدّل أدوات التعبير.
اللغة وسيلة تفاعل.
أما الهوية فهي جذور وذاكرة وانتماء روحي وتاريخي.

وهنا يكمن التفريق الذي يغفل عنه الكثيرون:
اللغة إطار تواصل،
اما الهوية فأطار وجود.

لم يتحوّل الموارنة بتبدّل الألسنة، لكنهم استعملوا اللغات من اجل البقاء.
الهوية قبل أي شيء هي صدقٌ مع الذات، ومسؤولية تجاه التاريخ، ووعيٌ بالاستمرارية.

من لا يعرف من هو، أو يتنصّل من ذاكرته، يصبح عابرا واسم على رمال.
ومن يعرف جذوره، فلا تذيبه لغة، ولا أيديولوجيا تعيد تعريفه.

اعرف من انت، ولا تقبل ان تذوب في تعريفٍ لم تختره!

Btw, Christianity is extremely based (on evidence).

• Its core claim is a public, historical event, not a private revelation
• The central miracle was proclaimed immediately and locally, where it could be checked and rejected
• The movement grows in the same place the falsifying evidence would have existed
• The earliest sources are close to the events they describe (by ancient standards)
• The founders gain nothing (power, sex, wealth) and suffer for the claim
• The resurrection is treated as falsifiable (cf. “if Christ is not raised…”)
• Women are named as first witnesses despite this being culturally disadvantageous
• The theology precedes later institutional power, not the other way around
• The religion survives intense persecution before it gains political backing
• Christianity expects ongoing miracles, not just a one-off founding event
• Many modern miracle claims are documented, investigated, and survive scrutiny
• There are standing institutions devoted to saying “no” to bad miracle claims
• Some Christian miracles (e.g., Zeitoun) involve mass public witnesses, not just individuals
• Christianity is comfortable appealing to forensics, medicine, archaeology, and history
• Its truth claim is so historical that disproving one event would collapse the system

Embrace Christianity.

I suggest to study the early Fathers up to 500 AD. Go check the churches they founded and they will prove to you that they existed

@AccadMichel @NathalyAndraos @sola_chad Still you are failing, reading the bible (new and old testament) is not the same way as reading a modern story. You need to understand the context my friend. In the bible, Jesus said “Whoever does the will of my Father… is my brother and sister and mother.” (Matthew 12:50)
