where i'm at on LLMs:
1. LLMs are NOT going to outmode software engineers, not now, not ever
2. LLMs alone are a dead end for attaining anything like AGI
3. forget about LLMs achieving ASI
4. LLMs will only make good engineers faster, marginally
5. LLMs will remain poor at architecture and design
this is 100% because LLMs cannot reason
and no, generating a bunch of hidden context is not "reasoning"
as always, when the same people are making claims like this, have a look at what they stand to gain
and to them, i warn directly: you are going to fall. hard
@Undergraphics@LeemoXD Incorrect! That is completely false. As Leemo already explained, that is not the case. I also brought this up more than a month ago: https://t.co/nxxwfWrqqu
Let me get this straight…
OpenAI was founded as a nonprofit. Open source. For everyone. “To benefit humanity.”
Then he raised billions of dollars.
Then he closed the source code.
Then he converted to for-profit.
Then he scraped the entire internet without asking anyone.
Then he used YOUR writing YOUR art YOUR code to train his models.
Now he’s on stage saying you’ll pay HIM to access intelligence. Just like a water meter.
He stole all of your data. He built the product with your work. And now he’s going to bill you to use it…
Corporate greed has reached an all time high, and they’re not even hiding it anymore…
Grateful to all the unsung heroes who’ve helped the PAPI team through these very difficult times. Now that we’re starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, it’s been humbling to see how many people stepped up and had our backs. Thank you so much! 🙇♂️
@gilescope@sorpaas How do you even enforce those rules, though? Also, where do you draw the line? If someone used AI just to review a code that was already written by them, is that also cheating?
> Rules are just helpful guidelines for stupid people who can't make up their own minds.
Some of @ethereum's most critical infra is stuck in a loop: ship > run out of funding > scramble for grants > repeat.
Project Odin breaks the cycle. At EF Funding Coordination team, we embed strategic advice, operations and funding diversification so sustainability is built in.

Farewell Hydra, see you around.
6 years ago @gregusjakub and I sat in Progressbar Hackerspace, pissed off at AMM inefficiencies and decided to build something better.
I'd have burned out from my previous work, was nearly homeless after helping friends for free. Organizing events, building products and hardware. But I knew I wanted to work on real decentralization.
