Hi I’m Josh, being that I’m relatively new to X, I figured I make an intro to the space. Never considered journaling before, but I want to keep myself accountable for completing many of the tasks I want to accomplish this year.
Everyone needs “foundation” clients.
Designjoy normally charges $5,000/m.
Foundation clients pay just half that.
Here’s how it works:
Foundation clients are offered a massive discount for your service.
It’s like winning the lottery.
Here’s the catch:
Though they aren’t locked into a contract, the discount goes away forever should they ever cancel.
They’ll never be afforded the offer again.
The magic here is that foundation clients stick around virtually forever in most cases.
The cost of losing an enormous discount is simply too high to cancel.
And the benefit to me is that I can rely on them to be there.
While other subscriptions pause and cancel, I have $10k-$15k in subscriptions that I know will almost certainly be there every month.
Keep in mind, you don’t need to do this continually. But keep a healthy base of them.
If one were to ever cancel, find another one.
It should be an easy sell, and they help you sleep better at night.
My god, the design talent on X is insane.
10x more talented than me.

Marketing is everything.
This could be the world's first recorded sighting of a live adult black devil or anglerfish (Melanocetus johnsonii), a deep sea creature in broad daylight and on the surface!!😱
deepseek's r1 is an impressive model, particularly around what they're able to deliver for the price.
we will obviously deliver much better models and also it's legit invigorating to have a new competitor! we will pull up some releases.

CS education is fake.
Most CS grads can't explain web2 architecture - browser policies, cookies, single threaded JS event loop, wasm, etc.
They can't write a simple HTTPS client from scratch which has its own socket layer and SSL handshake.
Churning out leetcode solvers doesn't imply any education in CS
