@dannybarrand_ I’d be interested in what the difference is when relating this concept to Rapsodo, which is typically more erratic in readings for most metrics than the other two
We are devastated to hear about the passing of John Sterling, a WFAN and Yankees radio icon whose voice was synonymous with an entire generation of Yankee fandom.
Rest in peace, John ❤️
1) The fact this angle was not released until days later says everything. How many times do we go into commercial / come out of commercial and get 8 different camera angles of a play only to get the one that is clear as day at the last moment. It’s all a con to make a TV show.
2) All the “the ball came free when it hit the ground / if there was no defender and it just popped free it’s incomplete” is bull. Cooks caught it. He brought it to his body as he hit the ground. He was locked in.
This has never ever been called a pick. The officials were afraid of the home crowd. They blew the call. Then the league threw every foot soldier possible out to try and gaslight the masses.
If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.
@treywallace Umps got it right. Safe because catcher’s blocking the bag without the ball, ejection because runner tried to truck him which you can’t do regardless of whether or not the catcher has the ball
@11point7 Winthrop Fun Fact: despite the batter’s eye, we still managed to have sun delays because it was too bright. Also, you could count on a better ERA as a pitcher if you threw around the 5th or 6th because hitters couldn’t see a thing
