@SplatoonNA Wonder if there’s any unique badges for this elite challenge. (top 500, 250, 10) Other than I guess recognizing 1K in X even more than 1K badge, do not really get something so exclusive like this. What’s really the point of having only 1K ppl playing a challenge for one rotation?
@venom_cipher@SplatoonNA Who said Raiders will have PVP online multiplayer? I’m under the impression it’s going to be a campaign only Splatoon spin-off game. Splatoon 4 isn’t likely coming out for a few years from now. Especially if they’re making a new Animal Crossing after Raiders. Could be 2028-2029.
@ShadowFoxArche Yes ^^ (although.. doesn’t get heavily factored in with the console wars talking point in broad, nor this context at all with my “idc about the wars” message imo)
@ShadowFoxArche Competition business wise-sure there is some in relation to the industry, but at the end of the day, everyone is making damn good money, doing just fine. Not really a “winner” when these are all billion dollar juggernauts. Well, maybe not MS as of late XD, but still are fine. (2)
@ShadowFoxArche Eh, console wars are for fanboys. I never cared for the idea of a specific company “winning” maybe I’m just not terribly invested in Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft.. Not saying any of you guys are fanboys, just don’t believe in “winners” like this is some competition. (1/2)
@ShadowFoxArche Yeah I'll take the L on the initial take. After I sent the tweet, saw the MS deal for a decade of COD... (I shoulda looked more into this before tweeting) Shocked me... I still stand by my 3rd tweet about going down too deep into the rabbit hole of 3rd party. Just very cautious.
@ShadowFoxArche Nintendo is much smarter than to go down that rabbit hole. They've stuck with their core formula, nobody can outdo their core games. (outside of prime Sony, which provide actual competition when they're hot, but haven't shown up in a long time now) No need to do otherwise.
@ShadowFoxArche I could be wrong, but I don't and have never believed that Nintendo really cares about putting a big triple A third party game on their devices. Nintendo's agenda is 1rst party games, don't think this will ever change. What matters more to them is their key winning formula (1/2)
@ShadowFoxArche (2/2) Sure, they have delved more into 3rd party in the 2nd half/near the end of S1, but their target ambition is getting that next Pokemon game out. Miyamoto: "Guys, we really need to get Battlefield 6, the next COD on our platform!" Nah, I don't think that's a concern at all.
@ShadowFoxArche Game of the year in these events (such as the game awards) usually doesn't actually analyze, assess, and pick the "best" game. It's usually just PR. (subjective anyways, but nevertheless, they don't actually try to judge) Don't expect Nintendo to ever win. (prob already don't)
@ShadowFoxArche I don't see how the poster implied anything patronizing against Nintendo with this. Next Gen Xbox, or next Gen PS6.. Switch 2 is next Gen console kickoff. A lof people buy multiple consoles.
@MyGoodCitizen @sevylox@ShadowFoxArche Ppl bought Nintendo products for their games. Their games make them special. Now they’re finally keeping up with the generation hardware-wise. Nobody ever bought home Nintendo systems for their hardware prior to S2. Merely a platform to play their games, no different than steam.
Was a rough splatfest for me game-wise this weekend, but clutched a 100x win, 10x conch clash, and got a six win streak in the last hours of the fest with my friends who have been with me since Splat 2! Ggs and thanks for helping me turn this fest around 💕🎉
@ShadowFoxArche "The only edge steam deck has is Steam itself" I mean.. Yeah.. That's pretty much always just been the case. The target audience for both are completely different. Regardless people will generally still buy a Steam deck over a Switch 2 if they're into Steam\PC realm & vice versa
