The WISE manual was launched at a helluva fun #WISE_scales extended-family dinner at @UNC_Water_Inst. So nice to see folks from around the world swapping #waterinsecurity stories. https://t.co/n4QaoJ0IKP
Thanks to a HUGE collaborative effort, the #WISE_scales manual is out! This beautiful document is the result of years of learning & sharing; it's open-access for max impact. https://t.co/UwNRv2dSDB

Perceptions shape behaviors that impact health, sustainability, and use of water services. Measuring these perceptions helps us understand and address real concerns, ensuring safer and more effective water management. 🌍💧 #WaterSecurity#PublicHealth
In a recent @IFAD blog post, my colleague and I discuss how experiential water insecurity data can inform policy and practice.
We need to understand not only whether there are pipes and taps, but also whether water systems are meeting people's needs.

@FAO And check out this supportive message from the editor! I've returned to it a few times this past month while slogging through feedback from reviewers for a different paper. Kind words go far in academia!
Excited to finally have these findings in the public domain! The story is clear and aligns with the theme for @FAO's World Food Day: "water is life, water is food". It's time to break down silos and get folks from the #wash and #nutrition sectors in collaboration.
It's been several weeks since the @WaterInstitute's Water & Health Conference, but I'm still thinking about the excellent work on food and water insecurity presented by @LaurenMTBroyle1 and on water intermittency by @WorkmanCl. Cheers to you both for timely, impactful research!
On Wednesday, join me and folks from @Helvetas, Swiss Water and Sanitation Consortium, @UNSW, and Resilience Centre Nairobi at 130p ET to discuss the value of measuring lived experiences with water for improving policy and impact! 💧🎯
Last week, #WorldFoodForum. This week, #UNCwaterandhealth. Inspired and motivated by all the excellent folks discussing the interlinkages between water security, good nutrition, and health!
