In all my years of pastoring, I have learned this lesson: a person's spiritual maturity is not truly visible until they DON'T get their way. Then you see the person.
Do nothing that you would not like God to see.
Say nothing you would not like God to hear.
Write nothing you would not like God to read.
Go no place where you would not like God to find you.
Read no book of which you would not like God to say, "Show it to Me."

On this day, in 1536, William Tyndale was strangled and burned at the stake for translating the Scriptures into English for the common man.
His final words, “Lord, open the King of England’s eyes.”
We need convictional leadership not consensus leadership.
Consensus leadership simply tries to keep a large group together and appease everyone’s desires.
Convictional leadership holds forth the truth and calls people to it. Knowing there will be fall-out in terms of consensus.
Pharisees (Jn. 7): None of (your leaders) believe in this Christ. Why do you? You are accursed, you don’t know the law like us.
Paul, (Gal. 1, 3): if even an angel of heaven preaches different gospel, let them be accursed. Rely on wrks of law, you are cursed. Faith alone!
But the wisdom that comes down from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
James 3:17
If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?
Proverbs 24:11-12 ESV
My God!
"One of the evidences of God's judgement that we're seeing upon Canada and the United States is what we're seeing, that there are no men." - Paul Washer
“As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favor of the Lord our God, turning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth.”
Daniel 9:13 ESV
It really is a worldview revolution, isn’t it?
“As a believer, I am owed nothing by God; everything is a gift.”
Transformative; reorienting; and liberating.
I know a great many persons who think it is their business to preach, but who had much better make it their business to hear for a little while longer.
