Lots of talk on Elliot Watt as a potential signing for #RangersFC this summer. I decided to take a deeper look into his play this season to see whether he fits the bill.

In terms of midfielders that love to get the ball forward, Elliot Watt is in a league of his own!
Do you think he’ll move this summer?
Really impressive numbers for Dylan Tait also 👏
Any surprises for you in here?
The future of football is Africa. Discovering which clubs and countries have become trailblazers in investing and developing talent from it can get teams ahead in the transfer market. We have consistently looked to do exactly that.
In 2021, we published the incredible story of Right to Dream in Volume X. We told the Mali story in 2024. While the secrets of Scandinavia don't feel so secret any more. But there is a new pathway emerging, one that demanded we take a closer look.
Nigeria is quickly becoming the most popular foreign nation in the Czech First League. Now that SK Slavia Prague have formalised their relationship with the continent through the Right2Win Academy, it may happen soon.
But what can we learn about the profile of player Czech clubs are scouting in Africa? What type of talent are both top-flight and second division clubs developing? Why have Slavia removed the middle man and established a link straight to the source?
@SkillCorner data suggests that explosiveness is the key. Find out how that translates to in-possession and out-of-possession profiles in our latest analytical investigation: https://t.co/rYXmCFuBDZ
Hampus Skoglund is another player that I wrote about in my scouting series for @scotlandscoeff1. A varied attacking skillset and room to develop defensively.

Rangers have understood to narrow in on James Tavernier's replacement.
Talks with Hampus Skoglund have opened, and there's been more than one meeting to discuss the move.
Work still to be done, but Rangers remain confident.

Rangers got started early this summer bringing in Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland. I watched him in depth to see how well his talent translates to Rangers and how he fits in the team as it stands.

@Revan1872 I think they both do too many similar things to work as a partnership in this setup. Naderi's best work in Germany was dropping in and playing passes in behind. Don't think he works as well holding things up.

Not sure of the validity of this link but I’d love it to be true. I already wrote about why Casper Widell would be a good fit at Rangers for @scotlandscoeff1

@MartinSuth1990 I’d argue that getting the club in the position where championship teams are more desirable than us is letting him slip away. I do take your point though about it not being entirely the clubs control.
Starting to really heat up behind the scenes on Luke Graham. Rangers looking to formalise things, but interest as strong from clubs in England and Europe. Can only be good for Dundee. The big defender, who is currently with the Scotland squad, will have a number of options.
🖋 We can today announce the signing of striker Lawrence Shankland on a two-year deal with an option for an additional year.
The @ScotlandNT international will join from @JamTarts on undisclosed terms once the transfer window opens.

@WillSharp222@scotlandscoeff1@mcgowan_stephen Yeah but I’m also unable as one person to watch every goalkeeper in football. This is how teams search (to a much more intense level than me), they profile the type of attributes they want/need, then watch players who can fit them. Obviously opinion and you’re entitled to yours
@WillSharp222@scotlandscoeff1@mcgowan_stephen It’s not really full data analysis I do in these articles. I just use it to narrow down who to watch and see if the data tells the whole story
@Smc___1888 Thought he was a pretty fantastic shot stopper and decent enough with the ball at his feet. There’s clips in the article of some of his play

@NotScottKelly@Chris_Jack89@ibroxrocks Expected to be that Hearts will get at least 2/3rds if not all (depends on signing date) and it's less than $7k per day now.

Reid Detmers was DISGUSTING against the Rangers tonight 🔥

Every whiff and called strike from his masterful performance:
@RMcMillan02@BM9MF I will give more thoughts on what we need at the position in my next scouting series article. I thought when watching Andersen that he was too unpolished on the ball to handle playing the position for us. Think he’s actually more likely to be successful in Portugal than here.
