@maggieofthetown Was actually talking about this yesterday. Heathcliffe is intended be ethnically vague but the fact that he’s a POC is a huge component of the story. he’s literally described as Romani. I think him being ethnically vague is an intentional illustration of the racism at the time.

So Chasing Summer at #SundanceFilmFestival : OOF. The script needed several extra passes.

It’s a whole lot of stuff we’ve seen done a hundred times in significantly better films.

The direction, score, and performances are solid. But it’s never able to deliver impact.

The good news is it is #Sundance from Home time!

The bad news is I was only able to afford 4 screeners this year because *life*.

Still tho, at least I get to do Sundance.
