Was at @UTEPFB Week 0 game HC Dana Dimel (longtime P5 ass’t) told us Tyrice Knight is best LB he’s ever been around and that includes guys like former K-State third round pick and 10-year NFL starter Mark Simoneau.

That comment got our attention and so has Knight’s 🎥 this year.

Knight (6001v, 233v, 32 3/4 arm) is an instinctive flow ‘backer and currently leads all FBS in solo tackles per game (9.4).

Impressive play here showing acceleration to chase down jet sweeper who took handoff on move. 💨

Knight has chance to be first UTEP player in Mobile since in Will Hernandez in 2018.

Happy 66th birthday to Doctor and Engineer Mae Jemison! She was the first black woman in space.

She flew aboard the space shuttle Endeavour in 1992, working on experiments including bone cell research.

Dr. Mae Carol Jemison is a physician and retired astronaut. After her medical education and a brief general practice, Dr. Jemison served in the Peace Corps from 1985-1987, when she was selected by NASA to join the astronaut corps. She resigned from NASA in 1993 to form a company researching the application of technology to daily life.

She has appeared on television several times, including as an actress in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Dr. Jemison is a dancer, and holds 9 honorary doctorates in science, engineering, letters, and the humanities.
