@CalvesLikeShaq And here we are having conversations for Curtis Jones for 30M.
Contract length disregarded English Tax should throw him in a 50M bracket straight off the bat because thats how it works right.
@NotSlotaClue@buster33892118@Micks2B@LFC Hypothetically, what fee would you be happy with if there is interest on our side.
Initial was 40M there going to be looking at around 65/70M for him.
@buster33892118@Micks2B@LFC Tbf to him. Its not like hes had a settled position at Spurs.
He definitely has something about him. First season and he is filling in at CB, RB, LB & CDM. All while trying to settle into new surroundings and the manager merry go round. I think hes done more than well enough.
@Micks2B Surely they are going to have a fire sale to recoup this layout. Unless the injuries theyve sustained throughout the season are worse than expected (lay off timeline wise)
@mdeeks76@Max8LFC Especially considering his age, the experience he had stepping up a league and the injury crisis where he was filling in every role and doing it well for a 18/19 year old kid at the time.
100% on board with this would take him without a second thought
@itsmilliejones@BenBLFC There's a mountain of work to get through and get this squad right. It makes sense.
We'd all fume if it took money away from the budget and left us short in other areas.
As long as its not stupid wages, he relieves pressure in the attacking dept.
@Andrew_Heaton That National Anthem rendition was something special.
If it wasn't for the time im watching it - i would have thought it was a home game at Hampden.
@aamas7_@JoshLFC1909 He's not exactly wrong is he. Only France and Spain who have consistently brought through genuine world class talent.
Brazil
Argentina
Italy
Holland
Germany
England
Compare to players they had years ago to now it is a shadow on itself.
@xenomlfc In reality I agree they wont tread that path.
But I hope they are keeping an eye out on "opportunistic" options. Even the rumoured players would still be leaving us short even if we sign both Winger options. I fear we could end up with Gakpo auxiliary striker again next year.
@Kev1Lfc I can see both sides of the argument. I just dont want to use the funds available to buy someone (If this takes away from other positions in desperate need!)
If it left us light elsewhere I'd be fuming.
@Tristan_T_I@CORMACQUINN2 Ill be honest - it would be a very smart move to bring him back.
Relieves massive pressure (Isak wont stay fit) saves us spending some of the budget which is desperately needed elsewhere in the squad.
They're are worst decisions this club has made - this isn't one of them.
@xenomlfc@AnfieldEdition A LOT of work to be done to this squad. Which is going to cost. This would help remedy some depth issues top end of the field.
We know we will get close to double figures out of him. He will help release some pressure off Isak playing every game.
@LekaL81544@JoshLFC1909 Its a bit of a no brainer, no matter which way it gets viewed a player we sold for 70M we can have back for free.
Helps massive with the amount of work we have to do and the money we have to part with.
I wouldn't argue against it if the club went down this path.
@flemo83@CouchNish Hypothetically - I imagine the suits shit the bed in his first season.
And "Luckily" for them season just gone was pulling the pin on a grenade and not throwing it.
Dont let Dom King see this, he'll start reporting fans have started satanic rituals!
@TaintlessRed No I completely agree with everything your saying. Quicker hes shifted the better.
It Irks me that Darwin was lambasted for his football IQ, Cody has nothing said about it. I personally would want Nunez busting a gut pressing, being a pest than CG stumbling round.
