People laugh that I drove to three grocery stores (two in the same parking lot, one across the road) to save maybe $40 reloading on meat, but saving money is all about thinking in terms of years, even decades.

It all adds up, and when you sock away what you saved in an IRA or 401K or CD, it prints free money for you.

Putting a UberEats meal on a credit card charging you 22% is lunacy. You’re lighting money on fire.

Take that money and put it in the market long term. Before you know it, it will double. Just keep on keeping on socking it away. You’ll be amazed how quickly the years pass and how it added up.

Interest can bankrupt you or make you financially secure. Be smart.

Lived in a house built in 1956 with asbestos siding. Redid the entire interior, landscaping, etc. Resold for 10k+ when the time to move came.

She gives examples like her parents had no idea a box of diapers was over $45 and another example that an older couple has no idea what it costs in groceries to feed a family of 4 right now

Many people have made this same observation, they say the boomer generation had no idea how hard it is to survive in America right now

The cost of everyone has to come down, how can young Americans be expected to have kids if they can’t afford a home or even groceries
