The concept of muscle "knots" gets my goat. 🐐
A "knot" is an area of localised sensitivity that the PATIENT feels. It's subjective.
A "knot" 🥨 (soft-tissue) looks the same under the microscope(biopsy) as a non-knot 🥖 (adjacent soft-tissue).

What we can say is, strength is one small part of the equation & that pain can improve as long as people are moving & trying to be active

There is a certain amount of force (strength) required to perform tasks, the amount of strength or force required will vary from individual to individual & each person's baseline ability also varies.

@DrPeteMalliaras This is a great topic and an important one! If we are meaning biomechanical definition, do you think there is an optimal tendon stiffness? A balance between too much and too little? Which may vary depending on the activity demands and also surface?
