@jackmcdade I’ve sold sites on the premise that WordPress is “free and awful” and Statamic “isn’t free but isn’t awful” and also the fact that I can do stuff faster in Statamic it actually costs less.
Someday I might just pay for the license since it would make my life easier
AI demonstrates the sunk-cost fallacy perfectly: Just one more "this doesn't work!" prompt, you think, and it'll fix it!! But often it won't, and now you've wasted 30 minutes begging that you could have spent learning how to actually fucking do it yourself.
@AskPayPal I’m getting bombarded with fraudulent payment requests. I am forwarding to [email protected] but I want to stop these altogether. This is absolutely ridiculous that PayPal facilitates attempted fraud at this level. How can I make these stop?
@MattRudkinWX I have Bluesky but I am having trouble finding the people I want to follow there. It should get better over time as more people start to make the switch.
@andrewfromtx Also notice me not calling you out for not disclosing that you are the creator of a competing WP shopping plugin. I didn’t do that because I was able to get that information myself by going to the obvious source of that information (ie your profile description)
@andrewfromtx The good thing about open source is that people can review the code. To say there was zero disclosure given doesn’t make sense to me. Also I’d file this under “no duh” because if I made a plugin I would also have put my affiliate link in there. Nothing is free.
@UPS Your driver was like a block from my house with my temperature sensitive VISION SAVING MEDICINE that I have to pay $600 for out of pocket and then all of a sudden your driver bailed out of delivering it. Absolute insanity!!! This is the second day in a row you've done this.
