Farmer. Fisherman. Activist. Author. Musician. Changing food and farming in the US because good, clean, fair food is not a privilege, it is a universal right.
Our new novel, The Glass Eel, started as a father-son project and grew into a thriller about greed, smuggling & survival on Maine’s coast.
The Portland Press Herald @PressHerald just featured the book—and the wild true stories behind it.

Hank taught me and so many other people so much. He helped wake me up, and wake up a lot of people in the food movement around racial and economic justice, land tenure, and sovereignty. He was generous and ferocious and honest and kind. I will miss him.
Excellent piece by @tomphilpott not just abt Salatin’s racism but abt where farming needs go, @SylvanaquaFarms vision for it, and @farmerclara being an ally https://t.co/vno9d29yOv
