Okay, I gotta say something.
Symbols interpret reality. Immersion into water symbolizes death and resurrection. What does sprinkling or pouring symbolize?
As you contemplate paper proposals for the ETS Annual Meeting this year in Boston, let me remind you that the conference theme is *the* Creed not *Creed*. Thanks.

@TheJustinSchell I’m using Motyer; he’s incredibly helpful. I have never heard of Kaminski’s study guide. I see Sklar and Longman both endorsed it. So I’ll be getting that one! Thanks!
Here’s what my preaching/teaching schedule looks like in October:
1. Matthew in Sunday School
2. The Apostles’ Creed in Sunday worship.
3. Parenting by Paul Tripp on Sunday nights.
4. The parables of Jesus in high school devotion for Marion Academy
5. Working through the Old
with a young deacon in our church. We’re in Genesis and will hopefully finish Exodus by the end of October.
I am open to resource recommendations for any of these!
Testament in Marion Academy Bible class. We will start October in Deuteronomy and hopefully go through Samuel. This class is Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
6. Isaiah on Wednesday nights with the student ministry.
7. Working through the Old Testament in my discipleship readings
The Komodo dragon is the largest extant species of lizard & can eat up to 80% of its body weight in one meal
While it mostly eats carrion, the view of a goat that gets swallowed in one bite is truly impressive

I thoroughly enjoyed @jake_meador’s article. But my phone decided it wanted to read it for nearly 12 hours. I promise it doesn’t take that long to read. Even if it did, it’s worth your time.

Like, wouldn’t it be such an incredible kingdom-impacting idea to have a program where likeminded churches could cooperate for the sake of spreading the gospel to the ends of earth.
Why has no one thought of this before??
Wow, what a great idea! If only Southern Baptists had a mutual fund of sorts that would fund missions, church planting, theological training, etc. at the local, state, and global levels.
Wait…
ACME exists to unite and mobilize like-minded churches to fund pastors, church planters, missionaries, and other projects around the world.
