Seattle Mariners right-hander Logan Evans underwent Tommy John surgery last week and will miss the 2026 season. As a rookie last year, Evans made 15 starts and threw 81.1 innings. While he was a depth starter in the Mariners' excellent rotation, it's nonetheless a painful loss.

BREAKING NEWS: The Seattle Mariners reached a verbal agreement with the top prospect in the 2027 international Class, the shortstop Mairon De La Rosa for $3.8 million.

Recently De La Rosa and the New York Yankees have parted ways and the agreement between them fallen through.

De La Rosa runs a 6.1-second 60-yard dash, is switch hitter, with plus-plus speed, immense raw power potential, and a quick, balanced right-handed swing. He's considered the most talented player in a long time.
