Vierte Nacht in Folge. Tirana brennt.

about halfway through this op-ed the author gives the game away, explicitly saying that she fears a future in which "every Palestinian who wants to move into Israel can do so." Meaning that she wants to maintain Jewish supremacy—ie apartheid—in Israel.
As suggested yesterday, the US unsuccessfully tried to escort Oil Tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, risking the lives of the mariners for media victories.
Overnight, 4 oil tankers guided by the US Air Force, without coordination with the IRGC Navy, attempted to exit the Strait of Hormuz.
One of the tankers was hit and stopped, and the other vessels turned back.
Then at 2h30, US drones hit a telecommunications mast in Qeshm and a radar in Sirik with two projectiles.
In response, IRGC targeted Ali al-Salem air base in Kuwait and the the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain with Ballistic Missiles.
On this day, 59 years ago, on June 6, 1967, Qalqilya was occupied by Israeli forces. All of its residents, about 15,000 people, were expelled. A significant part of the city was destroyed.
Following massive international pressure, Israel was forced to allow the residents to return.
Later, the mayor of Qalqilya recounted that the soldiers seated him on a jeep, handed him a note in Arabic, and ordered him to call on the residents to leave.
According to the UN envoy, 850 out of 2,000 homes were destroyed by the army. Other estimates are even higher.
Following the expulsion, droves of Israeli civilians living in the area arrived in the city and looted whatever remained.
One Israeli soldier recounted seeing refugees leaving Qalqilya on trucks: "Trucks packed to the brim, mostly with babies and women. Because there were no men. They also traveled on buses." In one instance, a soldier tossed part of his combat rations toward the refugees. "It was horrific to witness. They pounced on it... and it really shook me up."
IDF commander Ze'ev Shaham later wrote: "The instructions regarding it (Qalqilya) were clear: evacuate the residents and destroy the place."

Tonight there were several ice abductions in my neighborhood. The most important thing we can do is train ourselves and invest in our local organizing networks.
'The soldier was about ten meters away from me. He saw me, he saw my wife and the children. The car windows were not dark, it was daylight and everything was clear. You can't say he didn't see that it was a family'
When a 9 year old girl was raped, impregnated, and refused medical treatment, she had to cross state lines at the ripe age of 10 to receive healthcare.
Derek Van Orden shamed her.
He rape shamed a 10 year old girl.
What a fucking scumbag.
Fuck Derek Van Orden🖕
Thursday morning, an Israeli airstrike struck the home of Mona Khalil in Mansouri, South of Lebanon. The home itself was modest. But what it sheltered was extraordinary.
For decades, while many spoke about protecting nature, Mona lived that commitment every single day. From her small house overlooking the sea, she became the guardian of a coastline, the protector of countless sea turtles, and a voice for creatures that could not speak for themselves.
She chose to stay. She stayed through uncertainty, through fear, through danger. She stayed because the beach she watched over was not just a stretch of sand. It was a sanctuary. A place of life. A place worth defending.
Mona was seriously injured and her assistant suffered burns. Both are thankfully in stable condition. Yet the tragedy goes far beyond their wounds.
With war reaching a woman whose life’s mission has been to protect life, something deeper is injured, a part of our humanity is wounded. Violence does not distinguish between a fighter and a conservationist, between a military position and a nest of endangered turtles, between those who destroy and those who dedicate their lives to preserving.
Mona Khalil spent years protecting one of Lebanon’s most fragile treasures. Today, it is Mona who needs protection. And perhaps the greatest tribute we can pay her is to ensure that her courage, her mission, and her love for this land survive long after the smoke has cleared ❤️🇱🇧

"We need a fucking battle cuz this son of a whore is asking for it. And I love to fight. [Platner's] willing to take them on. He has absolutely no fear & he comes up like a bear. I don’t want to hear anymore namby pamby shit from Susan Collins. I want her gone so fucking bad."
Congress wants to tie the United States to Israel with this new legislation. It’s a trap.
"Now is the time to say what section 224 of the National Defense Authorization Act really is: not an alliance with a talented and responsible ally that will help keep the US safe, but a trap being set by Israel and its lobby to bind our country to a state that, for all its past promise, has gone rogue. A danger was silently creeping toward the tents of displaced families…
Among the tents sheltering displaced people, a new threat has emerged, endangering lives: venomous and dangerous snakes were found and killed near the Egyptian camps in Sheikh Ajleen, Gaza.
“It’s insane, we have a rogue US military contractor handling our most sensitive data. Palantir has a contract running our nuclear missile program. We have no national security.”
Palantir. IT'S WORSE Than You Think @carolecadwalla
America imposes 60 year embargo on Cuba: “Why is Cuba poor?”
America imposes sanctions on Venezuela and does a coup: “Why doesn’t communism work?”
Israel blows up Gazan infrastructure including airport & blocks development: “Why isn’t Gaza Dubai?”
CIA imports drugs & GOP opposes gun regs: “why is there urban crime?”
Bipartisan duopoly criminalizes protests: “Where have all the protestors gone?”
Cuba's Diaz-Canel: "They invented the Cartel de los Soles to go after Venezuela. They kidnapped Maduro -- two days later the cartel vanished. They said Iraq had WMDs -- never appeared. They attacked Iran over nukes -- no nuclear action ever happened. All their lies unravel."
