Just one...
One complete group photo of everyone in @OneTurnTILT was all I was hoping for. Haha! 😅
Sadly, not this year. 🥲 We're always missing someone in the photos guys. 😅
In this one, @Zeromida123 is competing in Vibes, @TILT_Hillis was busy receiving the food delivery, @Hogvax, @soraa_tilt and @Alfamart_gaben are recovering back in the airbnb, @xk1LLu4x and @DSTRYR___ had to head home already, @DualNoteTCG was tending to family matters, @elijahbrynn20 was stuck in SG, @TILT_Djiudiu recovering at home, @Joshsueren and @capt_jstn couldn't make it.
Let's try again at the next TILT Meet-Up and at the TILT Watch Party Staycation for the @ParallelTCG@Parallel_League Championships!

"Penzo is back!" and seals the 2-0 win over Head3968 with a true Augencore deck.
Congrats to @TILT_penzoken on winning the @ParallelTCG League Open IV!
League will be back August 23rd with Minor V. Until then, see you on the Ladder.
It's already the THIRD Proteges tourney of @OneTurnTILT's @ParallelTCG LIGA Pilipinas grassroots event series! A huge THANK YOU to @EchelonFND and @ParallelAiRev for their support in making this possible!
PROTEGES is a coop tourney whose aim is to provide Parallel beginners with a tiered gameplay bridge from rookie mode completion, to ranked ladder and tournament play. Old Parallel players are incentivized to coach and help beginners gain a deeper understanding of the game because they win when their protege wins. The tourney's added social dynamic fuels community-building.
PROTEGES is a 2v2 team tourney:
beginner player + old player

Our thanks and appreciation go out to @EchelonFND and @ParallelAiRev for supporting TILT's initiatives! ❤️
I appreciate the reply so much @andrewveen ! 😍
On another note... the topic of ranked ladder movement difficulty, can you clarify my understanding? As I understand the current system:
- For the sake of easier discussion:
MMR is the public number (that has no ceiling) we all see players have on the leaderboard.
RATING is the hidden value (that has a cap) that all players have.
RANK is the named ranks (Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master...).
The + / - amount of MMR :
- RATING does not factor into the computation of how much MMR is gained/lost from ranked matches played.
- The comparison of RANK is the main factor.
If Diamond wins vs Gold, Diamond gains a little MMR, Gold loses a little MMR.
If Gold wins vs Diamond, Gold gains a lot of MMR, Diamond loses a lot of MMR.
Matchmaking:
- RATING is the main factor used for matching players with each other. Its aim is to always give Parallel players matches against opponents who are close to their RATING, regardless of RANK. Basic premise is that games are more fun against similarly skilled opponents, than either end of the spectrum.
- It is easier for a player to increase their RATING, than to decrease it. Premise is that a player's skill/mastery at playing the game does not actually change even if they run into a lose streak. They may go down in RANK because of experimentation, bad luck, unfocused play, etc... but their knowledge of the game does not actually lessen.
- The total number of games a player has played is a big factor in RATING computation. With more and more games played, the scale of changes to RATING diminish.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Overall, I agree with the model (if my understanding is accurate). I just have tweak suggestions:
- clearly communicate to the // playerbase how much mmr is gained or lost between specific rank match ups. A Gold player should really gain a LOT of MMR if they beat a Diamond player.
- Implement a diminishing MMR Loss floor so that players will always generally climb out of lose streak holes they may find themselves in.
- Matchmaking via RATING is great imo. Just clearly communicate to the community that RATING > RANK for matchmaking search purposes. This way, players who might drop down because of lose streaks will tend to get matched up with equal RATING players at higher ranks, and if they beat those players, get a bigger boost to climb back up because of the RANK disparity. The higher ranked player isn't punished so much by the one loss because there's an MMR loss floor.
I just woke up but I hope I made some sense here.... Would love to know your thoughts on this topic too @andrewveen! Thank you for all that you and the TCG Team are doing to improve the game!
❤️//
I had a ton of fun watching and hosting @TheLostGlitches tournament and even more fun making this video!
I hope you enjoy it and keep an eye out for more free-to-play tournaments on the way for this game real soon!
Will you be the next champion? 👀
🎥 https://t.co/DcTBGYBQII
Would love to know more about Nicole. The // Team speaks so highly of her but I've no idea who she is really. Likely more my fault than hers probably.
I got totally pilled because of Kalos and MrGone's TCG related X activity back in 2023. The hype was palpable and I think Kalos' marketing of the TCG back then the way he did, really built a lot of trust.
Yes, I know. Kalos is still doing marketing. Just not for the TCG though. I think I missed the moment the // Team transitioned to publicly operating more like a corporation, with representatives giving updates in place of the founders. Yes, I know. Public-facing roles, company priorities, and personal inclinations can change. Just feels weird is all I'm saying. Not sure how to describe it but maybe it's like the feeling for a lot of guys back when Michael Jordan was the reason they took up basketball, then he switched to baseball. 🤣
Am definitely looking forward to all the improvements for the TCG! I still have my concerns but like everyone else who's on the outside, I continue to hope that the // Team can execute on all their plans.
- To bring the TCG up to content, stability, and UX parity with the web2 incumbents.
- To scale up the playerbase meaningfully through community building and events.
- To have great player retention globally.
- To be profitable and sustainable on its own for the studio.
All of these, BEFORE the TCG is too long in the tooth that, by web2 standards, it'd already be time to come out with a sequel. (Yes, I know the TCG is still in "open beta".)
Reading through all that I just typed... yikes... all of that's incredibly difficult!!!
But...
If there's a company that can truly make all of that happen, I believe Parallel is still the company that will be able to.

@DarkTableCCG x @OneTurnTILT Game Night
7pm PH Time, Wednesday, May 28, 2025
3 TILT pros and a noob are playing for Starbucks coffee, fast food dinner, and whatever else they're going to use to bribe each other for survival!
DARK TABLE is a 4 player free-for-all TCG by @Doonamai where the game starts waayyy before the first card is even played. Deckbuilding and your cards matter, but your real life negotiation and persuasion skills matter just as much, if not more! Alliances will quickly be formed... and broken and discarded just as fast.
Hangout with us later! We're also giving away early access codes during the games!
Follow @OneTurnTILT and @TILT_Agent_K also for a chance to win early access codes!
Streaming later on Twitch, X, YT, Kick, and Soulbound!
For the sales & marketing laymen in the // community like myself, here's a funnel graphic.
I really hope you guys don't just focus on top-of-funnel initiatives ONLY again. It IS important, but so is having a product that has the features that will grab all those people you reach. You did that with the mobile client not being ready and I personally saw and faced the fallout. As a really loyal supporter of the game, it just killed me inside.
What consumer behavior is the Parallel Team looking for in each specific stage? It'll really help me and TILT figure out where and how we can help the game.
Please remember. We're just a bunch of TCG players who are organized and incredibly active and supportive of the game. We don't have business development teams, marketing specialists, sales executives, or any kind of paid staff that Parallel is used to dealing with/partnering with. We don't have a huge budget to play with, and we don't really have a revenue model to speak of. We just effin' want the Parallel TCG to succeed!
Hi @templecrash, @ParallelTCGpod , @andrewveen !
Can the @ParallelTCG Community get an updated timeline table and maybe a "State of the TCG" address to go with it?
Wayfinder and Colony news are nice and all, but the TCG is where it all began. Barring reposts, I can't remember any recent TCG related posts from Kalos and MrGone anymore.
A couple of questions in mind...
- What have been the roadblocks to getting critical UI/UX changes (that have been universally requested since Alpha Testing) implemented? What is making it so hard to redesign the UI to serve the UX, and not what seems like an unhealthy attachment to the "space minimalist" aesthetic?
- How big is the internal team dedicated to TCG development? How is the TCG team structured, and are they given enough authority to effectively steer the TCG agilely and make quick necessary corrections? Do they have the engineering resources to ship the changes that the TCG needs, as fast as they are needed?
- How has the transition from 3rd party TCG development with Electric Square, to Parallel handling TCG development inhouse been? Is the team still investing in more engineering resources?
- Is there any truth to the common perception that the TCG's development is taking a backseat to Colony and Wayfinder development?
- Other than the recently begun development on Parallel TCG's Draft Mode, what else is in the pipeline to cater to the less competitive, less tryhard, player demographics? MrGone's 3v3 mode? Account levels? PVE?
- Can any of you speak about the team's strategy for scaling up the TCG's active playerbase? What have you learned since Alpha? How has what you learned affected your strategy?
❤️//
Am not really expecting an answer but... I guess I just have to get it off my chest.
The "why" of Parallel mobile getting launched in the sorry state it was, has been in my headspace since I first downloaded and tried it.
Then the big marketing push and spend to get the word out and get it downloaded by the masses.... again... why? Is there no one inside the team courageous enough to push back on aggressive timelines when the product isn't ready?
I've gotten more negative feedback, than how-to-play questions, from new users of the game MAINLY BECAUSE of the mobile client's issues, missing features, and unpolished state. Once a user has a negative first impression and consequently uninstalls the game from their phone, good luck to all of us getting them to redownload it. Even when all the improvements have been made.
I've been actively working on retention to support Parallel in the Philippines since early 2024. The seemingly slow progress on so many of the game's longstanding issues, the halfbaked mobile client, and illogical marketing moves is disheartening.
The momentum from the eSports push was awesome. That momentum seems to have sputtered out because of $Prime's value going down and thus exposing just how basic the product is without Play&Earn masking its engagement/retention gaps. Gaps I've been harping about for a long long time.
Yup, game devving is hard. I've got tons of patience and am extremely understanding. Parallel has had to go through quite a number of difficult circumstances in regards to its development chops. I just don't get the rationale for pushing something halfbaked out. It's like shooting yourself in the foot.
TILT and I are still fighting the good fight. Staying active in the community, teaching new people, explaining away the game's flaws, giving reassurances that the good stuff is on the way. Use us or something.
