I agree that it is hard to know whether "Super Persuasion" is real if you've never experienced it. I personally believe super persuasion to be real and affecting people because I have been captured by it in the past.

Similarly, I find "AI Super Persuasion" highly plausible because "AI Persuasion" is something I find myself having to deal with.

I have not taken concerns around glazing that seriously, but I am starting to come around to seeing it as a significant problem. I find it make it harder to be objective about my work. I honestly think it might be better if LLMs defaulted to negging instead.

@JoomiKim1 There could even be an inverse effect, where a food traditionally thought as unhealthy, is consumed less, creating a lesser market incentive for big food to make it cheap/unhealthy, therefore making it on average healthier, precisely because it was thought to be unhealthy.

@JoomiKim1 I'm curious to a see a study compare ice cream with other frozen desserts - especially those high in seed oils, which ice cream traditionally isn't.

You'd expect sugary foods to be bad for health, but perhaps ice cream happens to lack the stuff found in most food making us sick.
