Even though we knew of 4 a little while back, we welcome the final piece with our amazing partners @WBAMCOrthoRes @TTUHSCEP! Always one of my favorite days of the year.
@mattyfred_ Would also recommend the book “Pocket Pimped: Orthopaedic Surgery.” I swear it seemed that some staff asked all their questions from that book.
@mattyfred_ Be ready for morning rounds with extra supplies, your shears, a light, etc. Gather everything for splinting in the emergency department so the resident doesn’t have to. Those are things that I got positive feedback on.
This was my first experience contributing to a scoping review. A big thanks to coauthors/mentors for teaching and guiding me throughout the process!

@ScanaliatoMD@alexisbsandler Even just a year is a great opportunity! First on the list after tonight - curate the OR playlist that will define me as a surgeon..
@marykmulcaheymd@RJOSociety @PerryInitiative @lisacannada@AAOS1@aoa1887 @OrthoDiversity I read through 5 chapters of this last night.. it’s concise and well written! I’ve already started highlighting and bookmarking.
Medical students interested in ortho, check out The Medical Student Guide for Orthopaedic Surgery, which was created by @RJOSociety & @PerryInitiative, and edited by @lisacannada. This is a phenomenal resource!

My undergrad pre-med advisor asked me to present to students interested in going to medical school. I hope I can help out the younger generation with what I can share like so many people did for me! #MedStudentTwitter
@jointdocShields This is me! I kept the x-rays of my broken arm the orthopod printed for me for years. Now I’m working hard to match ortho to do the same for someone else.
