@drewcrew234@GraceRandolph I loved the batman, but I did not like their portrayal of joker. So don't act like everything Reeves did in the first movie was perfect
@benjaminluk There are two sad truths that will keep the new generation of writers from really capturing this. One. Too many will use AI as their elf. Two. Then they'll just submit that. When doctors and lawyers these days can't be trusted not to use ai, you know New writers will as well
@mjarbo at this point, if someone gives her a bonus... she and/or the world will cry "that's it!? That's not enough!"
Bc no one will be satisfied. There are literally people out there claiming she, a person with only 1 other credit to her name, should be a millionaire bc of this film.
@MillerTimePod@sainimatic The Producers aren't making any money based on the box office. They sold the film to a studio. So in order for there to be some type of contractual bonus, the studio would have to agree to that when they bought the film. That is rare
@IMXunderground@PotatoMcWhiskey Why? Why would you take the Creator to task? He's not reaping any of the box office profits. They made an indie film, took it to Tiff & sold it to a studio. The studio took the Gamble and the studio makes the profits. Don't falsely claim the cratir is being greedy when hes not.
@2AAtheist@PotatoMcWhiskey This is false. None of them could have asked for a cut of the profits. Because the plan from the beginning was to film an indie movie, take it to a film festival like Tiff, then try to sell it to a studio. That's what they did. The studio bought it outright & took the gamble.
@AlwaysFlacko Except they're not making that money. They sold the film to a studio. The studio is making that money. This is a first time feature length movie for any of these people. They made it for cheap hoping that some studio would be willing to take a gamble on it.
@RIPYaksbeard@battymamzelle True. But a lot of these posts seem to suggest the director/writer is making all this extra $$$ and holding out on the crew. If you want to blame someone, blame the studio
@devilishgl@NinaSerafina But this wasn't an industry movie. This was a film made OUTSIDE of the industry, then sold TO the industry in hopes someone would notice and give them a chance at a studio film for their next gig. This was the route they chose.
@beksawe But NO ONE who worked on the film is getting more $ based on box office results. They sold the film outright for a flat sum to a studio and then used that sum to pay the crew. There is no additional money coming based on box office success.
This is the fact people keep skipping
