@Jsm403Jake I agree. I know from my point of view anyway that an artists home country does not play a factor on if I listen to their music or not. #MUS2011W21
#MUS2011W21 I do not agree with the regulations regarding Canadian content. People are going to find music and listen to it no matter what country it came from, if it fits someone's taste then they will support the artist regardless.
@GiovanniSylves1#MUS2011W21 Another valid point about the production of music today. Technology has improved so much in the mastering of audio that some people may start to prefer the way downloaded music recordings sound and feel over a live concert.
@Chenshuo0814@edevilla15 I agree, if concerts and festivals were more easily accessible and not as heavy on fees you would see a lot more people travelling and attending. Recorded music is so easily accessible today I think people forget how good a live event really is. #MUS2011W21
#MUS2011W21 I disagree with Wald's statement. I believe most people would prefer a live concert/festival as it creates an experience and connects you with people who have the same music interests as yourself. Music recordings are just a lot more accessible and not as expensive.
#MUS2011W21 I don't not agree with dismissing the music entirely as it still represents some history of popular music at the time. Covers and sampling still exists in today's world however, the original artists should be credited.
@hjmmadden#MUS2011W21 Agreed, even artists today have a great success when they take certain parts of different genres and combine them together creating their own personal unique sound.
#MUS2011W21 I think Ray Charles used a breaking voice to really stand out and to create his own sound that would help blur the lines that separate blues, rock and jazz. This is a type of sound people have not heard before which really lead to his success as an artist.
@BriannaCranfor1#MUS2011W21 I can relate to this. Listening to music in public spaces can put you in any headspace you choose. Even something as simple as walking across campus can be a full experienceπ
@Brandon84648574#MUS2011W21 I agree. The ease of use with these streaming platforms get taken for granted and how easy we can arrange any type of music we want based on mood, genre, artist etc.
#MUS2011W21 I remember before streaming services were available I would be trying to download music from untrustworthy websites to try and get free music. Nowadays streaming services has helped me find and listen to new music with ease while still supporting the artists.
