As the first South American Immigrant elected to U.S. Congress and first Latina U.S. Senate nominee in FL, I share why national strategies continue to misread the Latino electorate. My oped 👇🏼
Our fishermen are the heartbeat of our coastal communities, but they’re having to dip into their savings to afford the rising price of fuel.
The system is broken, and I’m fighting to do something about it.
The future is not something Washington hands to us. The future is something we build, together.
Today, we start building.
But we can’t do it alone. This campaign belongs to all of us. Join the movement, sign up to volunteer, make a contribution if you’re able, and let’s build the future together.

Once again, the latest poll shows us closing in on Ashley Moody.
Floridians are ready for a leader who is focused on cutting costs — and I'm ready to deliver.
Full steam ahead.
“THE NEXT SENATE RACE TO WATCH”
Moody: 46%
Vindman: 43%
… @AVindman is already outperforming Dems in ‘22 and ‘’24
…. Moody is unknown to over HALF of Floridians.
… and Trump, for the first time in a long time, has a negative favorability in his home state.
It's not just that Ken Paxton is a terrible candidate and would be a terrible Senator.
It's that he's the kind of guy who casually swipes a $1000 Montblanc pen in a courthouse security line ... directly under a security camera.
The winner of the TX GOP Senate primary is Ken Paxton, who:
—Was impeached by his own party for corruption
—Paid $300,000 to settle his felony fraud charges
—Had multiple extramarital affairs
—Is under investigation for mortgage fraud
—Stole a $1,000 pen from another lawyer
—Was sued for firing whistleblowers
I’ve seen enough. As the first Latina ever nominated for a US Senate seat in Florida, the national party’s "autopsy" report doesn’t even begin to grasp why Democrats are losing Latino communities, or how to actually reach them. A thread from my own experience on what’s really happening: 🧵1/6
Just one day after ending "The Late Show" on CBS, Stephen Colbert returned to TV — to host a public access show with rocker Jack White in Monroe, Michigan.
Appearances by Jeff Daniels, Eminem and Steve Buscemi.
Even without a contested primary, yesterday saw the highest midterm Ohio Democratic primary turnout since 2006.
Despite spending $20M+, turnout slumped for Vivek Ramaswamy vs recent GOP primaries.
Ohio voters are fired up to vote for @amyactonoh
I’m willing to work with anybody to cut costs. That’s why I spent the day listening to voters in The Villages, where nearly 70% of the community voted for Trump.
In the people’s house of Florida today, Florida House and Senate members voted against the Florida Constitution.
New congressional maps were just passed, drawn solely by the Governor and his staff. These maps aren’t about changing communities; they are about maintaining control.
Instead of lowering costs for Floridians - housing, healthcare, insurance, gas, groceries—these same leaders continue to create cultural chaos.
From Florida’s legislature to Washington, the message is clear: they are not focused on helping families—only on holding onto power.
