NEW: Letter from @athleticsont and 5 sporting organizations - pickleball, golf, tennis, volleyball and soccer - calls on Premier @fordnation to immediately open outdoor activities, citing mental health crisis in kids and impacts on adults’ physical/mental well-being #onpoli
@JeffBurch_ can you please let me know your position on outdoor activities and their affect on the transmission of cases in Ontario? Does it make sense that the govt is not providing statistics and rather optics as their excuse. Please let us know thank you.
1/ A thread on what Ontario golf needs to do other than post pretty pictures in tweets

That is an undeniable scientific fact.
It's about money & votes. Let's be clear on that.
Golfers in Ontario need to know where to direct their 2022 support.
@celliottability@fordnation@MacLeodLisa have you realized that your restriction on outdoor activities affects so many and will certainly affect how I and many others vote in the next election
You need to get involved as you have a rogue @OntarioPCParty that is going to cost you dearly in the Federal Election. You can’t win Canada without winning Ontario @erinotoole@PierrePoilievre and right now that chance is at Zero with the current leadership
Outdoor sports should be allowed. I realize I am a broken record on this topic but it is worth repeating the science table never recommended closing outdoor amenities.
I have not heard single doctor ask for outdoor amenities to be closed.
#COVID19Ontario
@celliottability@fordnation I used to be proud to be from Ontario. I am now looking at any opportunity to leave this province and never pay tax dollars to you corrupt nonsensical individuals. It’s disgraceful that you neglect so many citizens mental health.
@PeterKavanagh6@celliottability I understand that. I am not saying people should be golfing hrs from their home. T-times are monitored and they can implement a regional restriction to only be able to book a round within a 25km radius of your home. Verify by drivers license/ID upon arrival
@celliottability This is great, now explain and please show scientific data on why people from Ontario can not enjoy the outdoors. Enough with optics, show data. You’re elected to represent not control the people
What?
@celliottability said hospitalizations & ICUs numbers have to go down
AND
"the backlog of surgeries would have to be worked through before the ban on outdoor sports and other restrictions can be lifted."
Christine Elliott isn't essential. #onpoli
