@US_Stormwatch Not even close. During the 2021 PNW event, Portland broke its previous all-time heat record on three consecutive days. Ultimately, the record was broken by 9 degrees. And this was in June. The event was >4 standard deviations above normal.
@NWSPortland Isn’t PDX’s average low 36 this time of year? It feels cold because of how ridiculously warm it has been in December. Many spots in the metro area haven’t seen a freeze since at least Valentine’s Day.
@jon_vannatta @realTimGraves @US_Stormwatch June was 1.6 degrees warmer than average and July was 1.2 degrees warmer than average. Objectively, it has been a warm summer relative to average.
@realTimGraves @US_Stormwatch Your perception is off unfortunately. Way above normal here in Portland this summer. This weekend and next week will ensure that August keeps up with the trend.
