There's been some talk about enhancement costs in @MaplestoryU being too low now, but I think the prices are finally at a reasonable level compared to before for majority of players.
You only see mega whales complaining because they spent an absurd amount of money to enhance before, while the average player could only dream of making any progress.
It's funny because unless you were literally rich, you could not make any real gains in this game, but now any normal person with a normal income can play and progress, and I personally see that as a the best way forward.
But wait Neon, are you saying everything is fine and mega whales are crazy? No, obviously not.
The biggest issue affecting the game now isn't the enhancement costs...
It's the reward structure and pace of content release.
Now that 20M players can earn the same reward as 100M players, it's clear where the problem is.
Because the current version of the game severely lacks Boss content, there's no clear way to fully reward top spenders.
We all know that once Hard Will is released, whales will be happy again as long as they earn exclusive rewards.
Basically, the solution to the 'enhancement' problem comes naturally as more content is released and the game flushes everything out.
Whales should also know their items will devalue regardless if there isn't an influx of new players. Just look back every 3 months and anyone can see it's a losing game.
But is there a quick way for MSU to fix this without waiting years for more bosses to release?
Yes.
Extreme Lotus (New Version).
It doesn't require waiting for a new region and would clearly separate top spenders from average players for a long time.
It also enhances gameplay for average players since Arcane River bosses won't need to come out with such drastically increased HP.
The only adjustments needed would be to lower the boss level to around 255, and to increase the party member cap from 2 to 6.

Anyways this has been my honest thoughts and suggestions on some recent issues.
I hope the devs take notice and can see where the real issue is.
Take care!

Alright guys
I think it’s finally time to talk about this after taking some time to process everything. Since tomorrow we enter the new patch, it feels like the right time to move forward. 🍁
My PC and wallets were hacked.
Every single asset in my wallet—and all my sub-wallets—and files on my PC was completely drained. The loss was huge, and it honestly made me want to quit and walk away from everything entirely. (But thankfully, my in-game MapleN items are safe....)
I want to share exactly what happened so that my friends in the Web3 and Maple communities don't make the same mistake I did.
-----------------------------------------
This happened about a month ago, right around the MapleN 1st Anniversary and the start of MSU Friend Season 2. I was also incredibly busy outside of Web3—my son were starting a new school term, work was piling up, and I wasn't getting enough rest.
During this time, a group claiming to be from "BlockLayer" contacted me for an interview about MapleStory Universe. They wanted to talk about the game and my experience as a content creator. I agreed without hesitation (Before accepting, I checked their profiles, their website, and their past work. It looked incredibly legitimate) We had multiple meetings, script reviews, and prep calls with several different "team members."
🟥The Trap🟥
On the day of the interview, we joined a Google Meet for an A/V and everything check. They even had an "audio guy" helping me tweak my mic settings, which made it feel 100% professional (Cuz I also a streamer so I know about Mic too).
Once we were ready, they sent a link in the chat to join a "Streamyard" room for the live broadcast. Since I don't use Streamyard myself, I clicked it. The link tried to install a program on my PC. My Bitdefender actually popped up with a warning, but because I was exhausted from real-life stress and rushing to get ready for the interview, I wasn't thinking clearly and accidentally bypassed it.
Disaster struck immediately. My phone blew up with MetaMask transfer notifications. I tried to quickly move funds to other accounts from my PC, but I was already locked out. I learned later that it was an InfoStealer attack. The hackers gained root access, completely took over my PC, keybaord & mouse, and drained everything right in front of me.
I’ve been in crypto for over 5 years and never made a mistake like this. I got complacent and kept too much in my hot wallets. It's a painful lesson I will remember for the rest of my life.
------------------------------------
My Warning to You
Please learn from my experience. Do NOT keep your savings in a hot wallet. Everyone can slip up. Also, please don't overwork yourself to the point of exhaustion—it causes you to lose focus, and that lapse in judgment is exactly what cost me everything.
Despite the nightmare, my MapleN character is still here. I talked it over with my friends, and since they are still playing, I decided I'm not going to quit. I have fully migrated to a new wallet and am ready to start my journey again. My progression might be much slower than everyone else's now, but I hope we can all keep enjoying the game together.🫂
See you in the new patch tomorrow!
If you see me in-game, feel free to say hi
