It’s unlawful and unconstitutional to deny and to discriminate MSc Medical Postgraduates their legitimate rights and opportunities by the illogical and mindless regulations and rules of National Medical Commission.

This is a direct result of being silent on fraud in Medical PhD awards and silently encouraging such practices. (10s of institutions and 1000s of individuals are indulged in this Multi-Crore scam of Fake PhDs)

When the Universities in our Nation are giving PhD admissions like kindergarten admissions, is it possible to maintain standards in the quality of research while confining to the regulations when they are mass producing the Doctorates?

It is not just about the quality of the research that is gone for a toss but it is about a big ruthless academic business. These institutions are burdening the academic industry with abnormal number of insignificant degrees that probably merely serve as a certificate required for promotions.

The ecosystem is abusing the research and the research scholars (victims being both those with genuine research interest and those who are forced to do PhD because of the service rules) and are making a multi-billion-dollar business out of it.

The ecosystem functions at various levels. Starting from consultants helping with the real research to consultants faking the research. Starting from writing the thesis for research to fake publications i.e. existence of predatory journals. This is apart from the Fake PhD Scam that involves brokers and various other levels of ecosystem.

By mandating PhD for non-MBBS Medical Postgraduates, and by mandating compulsory publications for all medical teachers for promotions, NMC that never really regulated research in Medical Institutions caused massive damage to the Indian Medical Education in the last 6 years than MCI could do in all its lifetime.

So, @acbm16 and @NMMTA_Assn partnership succeeded in getting the technicians council they lobbied for after successful disqualification of MSc Medical Postgraduates under NMC terming Medical Teachers with legitimate Medical Postgraduate qualifications as Non-Medical Faculty and appointments subject to non-availability of MBBS MD teachers.

Shouldn't NMMTA have celebrated grandly the inclusion of the MSc Medical Postgraduate qualifications under the allied council that's constituted as per their deals?

Why NMMTAs leaders @microrao @ayan_das12 or any other prominent figures from NMMTA are not in any of these allied councils at National and at State Levels?

Was this the strategy you adopted?! to stay silent and to keep low while the plan is being executed fast and mercilessly.

This Person, Girish Sharanathe MSc Medical Microbiology graduate from BJ Medical College Pune (1985), who is Vice President of the Technicians Association ACBM is now a member in Maharashtra Allied Healthcare Professionals Council.

Similarly, many other State Allied Councils have appointed MSc Medical Postgraduates as members in the councils meant for Medical Lab Technicians and Science Professionals.

Has ACBM, NMMTA and the other secret partners Won?

These people at the age of retirement are sitting at the top of the Pyramid in Allied Healthcare Field, and are deciding the fate for MSc Medical Postgraduates graduated from Medical Institutions who are Practicing their Profession as recognized Medical Teachers for over 6 decades being pushed towards a Profession as Lab Technicians and Phlebotomists (some may coin fancy terms as lab scientists/ clinical scientists)

Reality check for MSc Medical Postgraduates with or without PhD who are either dreaming of registering with allied council to enter allied institutions and to those who are already in the allied institutions in faculty positions or as Principals and Deans.

Our member Dr Suva Nath, BHMS, MSc (Medicine) Physiology, PhD (Medicine) who was serving as Principal in Belarani Institute of Paramedical and Allied Sciences was relieved from the duties by the management citing ineligibility as per NCHAP norms.

This relinquishment letter categorically mentions that his PG qualification comes under Life Sciences category (Medical Biochemistry and Medical Microbiology are already mentioned under this category in the regulations of NCAHP which TMMA strongly objected and opposed) and also that 50% of the faculty posts are reserved for clinical/laboratory category (for MSc MLS or MLT) and that the Principal can only be from this category.

In view of the rampant violation of the NMC Medical Institutions regulations 2025 with respect to the appointment of non-MBBS Medical Teachers in the non-clinical departments, where the nexus of General Science Postgraduates has completely occupied the positions meant for MSc Medical Postgraduates in many medical colleges across the state of West Bengal thus depriving the MSc Medical Postgraduates of their legitimate opportunities, the association wrote to the institutions across West Bengal appealing to comply with the NMC regulations

In any case, if there is no positive response/ development in the matter, the association will take it up further with the concerned higher authorities and will also explore legal avenues to address this serious challenge

🚨📢'National Commission for Allied Healthcare Professionals' has issued a Public Notice on draft of Regulations of Allied and Healthcare Professionals Regulations 2023 dated 25 September 2025.

It has included MSc Medical Biochemistry and MSc Medical Microbiology qualifications under 'Medical Lab and Life Sciences' Professionals Category as the qualifications required to register with Allied Healthcare Professionals Council.

TMMA takes a strong objection to this shameful act by the NCAHP @NcahpOfficial and condemns this disgraceful powerplay and abuse of power by @MoHFW_INDIA who have blindly and ignorantly allowed the proposal of selective Medical Qualifications that were and are under National Medical Commission as on date to under allied council who is also very much aware that there are cases by TMMA pending in Supreme Court and in Delhi High Court for recognition and registration of our qualifications under National Medical Commission as per NMC Act.

Expecting a strong objection and public condemnation from @NMMTA_Assn and subsequent action if they ever really truly represented MSc Medical Postgraduates with Medical Degrees graduated from Medical Institutions.
