Vamos a tirar la casa por la ventana para apoyar a #guatemalapower 🇬🇹
Si Guatemala elimina hoy a Estados Unidos (en tiempo normal o por penaltis) sortearé 1.000 dólares entre todos los que hagan RT.
Excited to share that I’ll be joining @michiganstateu as Assist Professor of Weed Science for Tree Fruit & Vegetables in @HorticultureMSU. Grateful to all who’ve guided me on this journey. Looking forward to supporting growers/stakeholders & collaborating at MSU and beyond!
Curious about @FFaleco's research on characterization of PPO-inhibitor resistance in #giantragweed, multiple herbicide resistance in #waterhemp, and the effect of increased temperatures on #herbicide efficacy?
Join us Wednesday, April 23 2025, at 10AM CT!

Our latest paper in Weed Technology (Mobli et al. 2025) highlights key findings for herbicide programs in Wisconsin conventional-tillage #corn production:
Single-pass strategy? Applying a robust herbicide program early-POST provided better end-of-season weed control than a PRE-only approach.
Two-pass strategy? A PRE followed by POST consistently delivered the best weed control and protected yield when difficult to control weeds were present.
Layered residuals? Adding residuals in the POST pass did not improve weed control when a strong PRE was already applied (P.S.: we are seeing a similar trend in our Wisconsin #soybean research; additional info soon).
Take-home message: Load up on a robust PRE upfront, then follow with a timely and effective foliar POST for optimal results!

Kudos to @AhmadrezaMobli for leading this excellent manuscript and to our amazing #WiscWeeds team for conducting the work @derff53@agronomybadger. This project was partially funded by @wicorngrowers.

Hello Weed Scientists attending the 2025 WSSA/CWSS Joint Annual Meeting in Vancouver.
We are offering free professional headshots today from 10 AM to noon in Port Hardy, 4th floor of the North Tower! 📸
Yesterday I posted about how DOGE firing a bunch of public AG scientists was bad, and a lot of people seem to think there is no value in Public AG research.
"If public research was valuable then they wouldn't need funding because it would be making money".
Here is a thread.
To add a statistical test in #tidyplots , just do `add_test_pvalue()` 🚀
Then you can decide, whether you want to compare every group to every group, or one control group to all other groups.

I am recruiting two funded graduate students (1 MS, 1 PhD) to join the lab and the Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences program at Oregon State University!
If you are into small mammals and population ecology then check this out.
Please share/repost widely!
