Social distancing is a privilege.
Binge watching Netflix is a privilege.
Earning an income at home is a privilege.
Lining up at a grocery store 6ft apart is a privilege.
Having a safe & secure roof above your head is a privilege.
Perspective, empathy, care & action help all.
Most students cannot independently do work all day in a classroom with structure & teacher support.
Asking students to do even close to as much work at home as they do in school is unrealistic, unreasonable, & can cause even more stress during uncertain times.

The positive thing about this pandemic is that it has forced many of us to slow down and reset everything. Work will always be there. Opportunities will come and go.
Continue to focus on family, and caring for your mental and physical health.
Bad parent alert. I don't know if it's because my kid is a teen and in high school. But we aren't homeschooling. She is doing the busy work, the school gives and living her best life. That's making art, making music, watching shows and taking naps.
Not returning to my placement school and I’m super disappointed. The connections I made with the students were so real and rich. I’m grateful for school, learning and teaching. Praying for a safe return, sooner rather than later.
Teachers,
During these times, please remember that we’re the piece that holds so many others together. During war, pandemics, natural disasters, and everything else, our job is to teach and to love, while our students continue to learn and grow.
We got this. #TeacherStrong
