@higginsdavidw Ireland seems to be doing relatively well with the vaccination roll out. It would be a shame if a couple of sensationalized stories undermined the work done. Perfection is the enemy of the good and all that!
@higginsdavidw Main issue here: will someone try to get the extra dose out in future? If you're not definite that it will go to the highest priority person then is it easier to just get the recommended doses and throw the rest in the bin? You've done you're job and haven't broken any protocol.
⏰It's the final countdown for the @RoyalStatSoc#MathsWeekEngland Primary School Chart Competition🌟

Really sensible article. Decision makers shouldn't be blamed if they realise they need to change path. We should all be encouraged to learn from and share our mistakes.
'It is unlikely that one study alone will be strong enough evidence to state definitively that watching less than exactly two hours of TV a day will minimise health risks.' Our stats ambassador @Joy_OfStats comments on this latest study

@SaraHaboubi1@roinnslainte@hpscireland You are correct that some people included in the figures may have died from something else anyway. But it is important as a country to keep track of all COVID deaths as accurately as possible. For example how would we identify which 637 people to exclude?
@SaraHaboubi1@roinnslainte@hpscireland These are the official deaths due to COVID. The 637 figure refers to less overall deaths then we would expect in this period. For example, less people may have died in traffic accidents due to less cars on the roads. Also must remember that the 637 is an estimate.
