@saul_mondriaan I know this is picking up a thread from two and half years ago, but I've been chewing on this recently, and I'm curious about your thoughts. Hercules w/ or w/o Ares makes Martial sense, but also: have you tried the hymns to the Kouretes for Mars?
@AuchNeal I loved *Comfort Me With Apples* by Cat Valente - it's a novella, with both fairytale and biblical/apocryphal grounding, and I ate it all up.
@Penemues_Quill However. Wikipedia reminded me of THIS: "At the end of the novel, when Peter flies back to find an older Wendy, it is mentioned that Tinker Bell died in the year after Wendy and her brothers left Neverland, and Peter no longer remembers her."
So. There's that.
@sqiouyilu I think about "Far From Holy" on a semi-regular basis, and cry pretty much every time I read it. (Erotica that makes me cry is one of my favorite things ever.)
@rmvirtues@artistfuly Yes! The thyrsus carried by Dionysos and His retinue is generally topped by a pinecone...though sometimes, large bunches of ivy leaves are substituted. This definitely looks like a more-spread-out, fabulous pinecone option.
