@dublinbats01@DavePrichard One of my son's Midland team in Cincy did that until 14u. Played a couple tourneys. No overnights. Other kids/parents thought it was odd & asked why not more tourneys. We could get our ass beat in town, cheaper, spent more time practicing & kids weren't over pitched.
@HPBAac Disagree. Depends on the player, year & position. My kid had pitched enough innings as a fr & soph. Also played basketball. Was hard to work mechanics, lift big & pitch. He grew from 6 ft 170 lbs fr yr to 6'4 230 lbs. Went from low 80s to low 90s. Hitters should hit.
@NortheastHQ Who listens to Dave Ramsey? He sounds like a snake oil salesman. His advice is from The stoneage. He has his daughter on the show Rachel. Total joke.
@dougboneparth I grew up in a rural community. Anyone that had lawn sprinklers was wealthy! Sometimes I sit on my front porch watching my sprinklers go and lose my self wondering how I got here.
@CoachBeede Generally agree with you. However, Showball was very helpful in getting both my boys several additional options at top high academic schools.
@TomBeckerle@mattvanswol For me personally at my age I feel safer that my kids are not going to vaporized anytime soon..It's up to the next administration to keep us safe.
@NicholasGillert@leevalueroach Not concerned about trading costs on the other end. Other buckets are full. Eliminating banking and 3rd party risk. Generational wealth.
@tuncerdeniz@YodaStockInvest I remember those days. Sun Micro seemed like a forever stock. Peaked at about $200 bn and later sold to ORCL for about 7 bn. My wife's company stock went from about $25 per share to under $1 in a couple months in 2008. It's about $10 now.
@EdgeCGroup Cigar butt investing.Reminds me of one of those old school stores that sell Chimey Cleaning, Vacuum sales/service or maybe local shoe repair.
@LOGOinvestor I was joking. I'm old, invested thru dot com bubble, 08 financial crsis, covid crash and now the AI frenzy. I'm not batting a thousand either.
