@spinph In fairness to PBA players, it was them who won the gold in 2023. So I guess, it falls to the SBP to provide Naturalized Players (atleast 3) to the next PBA Asiad squad in 2030. No excuses. Ngayon pa lang asikasuhin na.
@NoliEala The easiest solution is quality foreign coaches in the PBA. And even that they don't allow because of job security for Filipino coaches. BUT the current Filipino coaches are not internationally competitive anymore. Remember Guiao in the World Cup 2019.
@bellezqsj@pbaconnect is going to be obsolete. What the @MPBLOfficial should do is lessen the teams. Make it just 10 or 12. Then hire only quality players, no rookie draft. Just recruit straight from the UAAP and NCAAph. Hire foreign coaches. Merge the small teams into a one big team.
@PBAinsider Let's leave our Fil-imports alone. They already made us proud last window. And they will play again for the country in Nov. It's the SBP/CTC who messed up the Asian Games. They failed to secure Kouame, didn't include Diouf in the pool, although Bennie IS NOT SBP's fault.
@PBAinsider Our FIBA line-up (Kai, Dwight, AJ, KQ, Carl, Juan, Mike & QMB) doesn't need a naturalized player. With their quality, they can win with an all local line-up. While a non FIBA PBA squad even with Fil-Ams, need atleast TWO naturalized bigs, Ange and Malick + Bennie.
@spinph CJ should take the make-or-break shot once necessary. Remember his buzzer beating 3 vs Latvia? He's done it before. In Window 2 vs NZL, he was ready to shoot the game tying 3 if only Dwight saw him.
