Regardless of your stance on the Marijauna bill, this is classless. Our legislators should be leaders. This is not leadership. How is this guy a representative of the Med city?
Our position is about patients. It is about our staff and our communities. It is about whether and where Mayo Clinic can push the boundaries of innovation to cure, connect and transform health care for patients everywhere. https://t.co/VSxPSXWEId
@ArtfullyKendra@MayoClinic They must protect their mission. Which, again, is successfully providing the worlds best (literally #1) healthcare while taking great care of their people and community for 150 years. But now politicians know better? That’s where you’ve lost me. We’ll have to disagree.
Ive lived in #rochmn my whole life & witnessed the good @MayoClinic does for patients, staff & the community. The worlds #1 hospital doesn't need politicians input to keep thriving. Local legislators ignoring & pretending otherwise for political gain is unacceptable. #supportMayo
@ArtfullyKendra@MayoClinic Respectfully, you will have a hard time finding a person who lives in Rochester, including our amazing nurses, who aren’t thankful for Mayo. And as far as patient treatment/outcomes goes, Mayo is literally the best place on earth to be a patient. (Mayo is a non profit).
It is unacceptable that you’re pretending that 1) politicians know “the needs of the patients” better than Mayo and 2) you would risk the largest private investment ever in your community for politics. As a Rochester citizen born and raised I’m embarrassed by you
@jeffrey_true@PBFeldy Parents of youth hockey want kids to win NOW, which makes this difficult to implement. But we won't see consistent success at the high school level without a better connection to the youth programs. This is why many of RYHAs best players leave before high school
@jeffrey_true@PBFeldy Kids are so moldable. If at younger ages they were forced to play up a level because we had 3 A teams I'd bet the kids would adapt. Think of your 22 grads from lourdes and the progress they made from 10th - 12th grade just by being on the ice with better competition.
@jeffrey_true@PBFeldy Culture in top HSH programs begins at youth. Each HS should have a pipeline of kids wearing their logo starting in mites (i.e. Mayo Squirt A). RHYA hasn't tried this - demographics/competiveness/blah blah...but LONG TERM need to build these programs from the ground up.
