Particularly pleased with my article in this special issue as it draws from (almost exclusively) naturalistic data in the Piaroa corpus I've been creating since 2016 -- with ELDP funding and archived at @ELARarchive -- https://t.co/7do39fUXmC #openaccess
Special issue is out (no 61.6): 'Re-assessing the explanatory potential of the alienability contrast', ed. by An Van linden and F. Rose. Critical perspectives on a prominent topic in linguistic typology https://t.co/UBONxka7op
@lisa_b_davidson@oiwi3000 This looks excellent! I'd love a copy (looking into the realization of glottalized resonants and it was suggested to us recently that variable realization may be conditioned by prosody)
@DrLearnasaurus Well, as of yesterday, we are (in theory) homeowners so you guys can come up any time you want :)
And yes, let’s definitely get together before I leave! I’ll be on campus all next week and the week after (leaving on the 26th).
@patalinguist Some of it is still recoverable on the Wayback Machine (I had to find it there last fall when I was trying to show my students some of Wally’s work on written language)
@DrLearnasaurus It just threw me off completely; the fact that they knocked on a closed door to ask that, I mean. It took me a moment to recover and I sent them to the sasc office
