Kudos to President Trump for not sending government representatives to COP30.

Net zero pledges by governments and corporations were always more hype than substance, as they promised drastic emission cuts that ignored real-world energy needs. Despite UN boasts that over 100 countries and thousands of entities joined the "Race to Zero," a recent NPR report revealed the truth: global fossil fuel production is surging, far exceeding Paris Agreement targets. In fact, the top polluting nations, including China, the US, and India, plan to produce more fossil fuels now than just two years ago.
Under President Trump, the US is wisely exiting the Paris Agreement and prioritizing affordable, reliable energy sources like oil and gas, while rolling back wasteful subsidies for unreliable renewables. Billions in taxpayer dollars have been squandered on climate initiatives that could have funded critical needs like education and healthcare, all based on exaggerated fears of catastrophe.
Take this year's hurricane season: despite dire predictions of more frequent and intense storms due to climate change, we've seen the quietest US landfall in a decade through September. Weather has always been unpredictable, and blaming humans for every storm is a politically driven myth. Net zero vows were largely empty gestures to appease climate alarmists, not serious policyโproving that practical energy demands will always trump ideological pledges.

I have bad news for climate alarmists.
There is NO correlation between ocean sea surface temperature ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฆ and tropical cyclone strength, at least in the Caribbean.
I went into NOAA's HURDAT2 database and plotted the peak maximum sustained wind speed for all 333 tropical storms and hurricanes that tracked through the Caribbean Sea between 1900 and 2024, and the monthly average sea surface temperature departure from the 1991-2020 average (which, at those latitudes, is usually slow to change on a month-to-month time scale).
The coefficient of determination is 0.001 and the p-value is 0.551, which means that the relationship is not statistically significant whatsoever.
Why is there no correlation? ๐ค
1โฃ Tropical cyclone dynamics involve far more than the interaction between an organizing disturbance and an unusually warm ocean surface, and,
2โฃ The Caribbean Sea is warm enough every year to support a hurricane of category five strength, regardless of whether SSTs are above or below what's considered to be average.
Therefore, anyone trying to link Hurricane Melissa to climate change is doing so on a scientifically unsupportable hypothesis.

In a humorous parody from Watt's Up With That, climate activist Greta Thunberg is depicted as filing for copyright on her famous phrase "How DARE you!" She claims it's being overused by journalists, comedians, and skeptics, calling it "unpaid emotional labor." Thunberg draws a cheeky comparison to Taylor Swift's trademarks, arguing that moral outrage deserves intellectual property protection.
Proceeds from potential lawsuits and licensing deals would fund her "Peopleโs Flotilla for Planetary Justice," a sail-based initiative supporting oppressed peoples, endangered plankton, and various causes like geopolitical and dietary justice. She quipped, "We're gonna need a bigger boat," while emphasizing the importance of looking righteous over practical details.
Skeptical voices, including environmental economists, question the sustainability of outrage as a resource, with one analyst joking it could run out by 2030. The satire extends to Hollywood interest in a Netflix docuseries and activists building Titanic metaphors, all while Thunberg designs a vessel called the HMS Hypocrisy Awareness.
This piece pokes fun at the commercialization of activism, reminding us it's all in good humor.

In 1983, CBS warned that coal and oil were heating the planet โout of control.'
"25 % of Florida will soon be underwater."
That was 42 years ago.
Itโs a wonder how Bill Gates perpetuated the climate scam for decades.
The hysteria remains the same: "Humanity is on path toward โclimate chaos,โ scientists warn."
Possibly LATimes @ByIanJames ought to interview someone else other than a lying climate hoaxer.

There is absolutely zero evidence that climate change is an existential crisis, but there is a lot of evidence that politicians and actors have gotten rich by profiting off of alarming the public. When people begin migrating en masse to the Dakotas, we might have a problem.
COโ does not control world climate. Scientists have recorded 5 significant ice ages throughout the Earth's history: Huronian (2.4-2.1 billion years ago), Cryogenian (850-635 million years ago), Andean-Saharan (460-430 mya), Karoo (360-255 mya) and Quaternary (2.58 mya-present).
This is buIIshit.
NOAAโs National Weather Service office in Austin / San Antonio issued a flood watch over 12 hours before the flood, and a flash flood warning THREE hours in advance.
Find a new job. Your โpolitical analysisโ skills suck.
New study blows away climate "science": Half of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere are from the Earth's own old CO2 stores. Until now, that CO2 was presumed stable, buried, and irrelevant to modern emission tallies. In other words, nature has its own deeply entrenched CO2 leaks, and our modern instruments are just now getting around to noticing them.
This is consistent with what I have reported previously, for example:
- Energy emissions don't explain atmospheric CO2: https://t.co/RW71uqGb4X
- Carbon-14 study shows only about 12% of CO2 added since 1750 is manmade. https://t.co/sgGDs71mXl

As the climate hoax collapses, all that remains to "climate scientists" like @DrKateMarvel is climate feelings, which is the most they ever had in the first place.

Government overreach and far-left activism have long stymied sensible energy policies, hurting states and families. Case in point: projects like Keystone XL were canceled, and in New York, the Constitution and Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) pipelines were blocked despite approvals, thanks to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's anti-fossil fuel stance and net-zero ambitions. Activists claimed environmental risks, but the real cost was higher energy prices, blackouts, and grid failures from unreliable wind and solar alternatives.
Natural gas, with its low carbon footprint and efficiency, has proven essential, as seen in recent European blackouts. Now, there's a turnaround. Under the Trump administration, companies like Williams are reviving the Constitution and NESE projects. U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum lifted a stop-work order on an offshore wind project after Gov. Kathy Hochul showed willingness to advance gas pipelines, marking a shift from outright opposition.
This saga highlights how ignoring stark realities leads to energy crises. With proactive steps from officials acknowledging natural gas's role, we can avoid disasters and deliver affordable, reliable power. It's a wake-up call for governments everywhere to prioritize commonsense energy solutions over ideological extremes.

Award-winning physicist Will Happer: "My taxi driver and my barber have a lot more sense about climate than my academic colleagues. And especially people who work outside, farmers and folks like that.
You know, they've lived with the real climate, not something on a computer screen. And they know perfectly well that every year is different. Some are warmer, some are colder, some you get more rain, some you get less.
To the normal person that is second nature, but to the highly educated elite, it's just beyond them. They can't grasp it."
