"You immediately solve the credibility issue..." @ZizouSzn10 and @AliG040803 explain why the Glory need to be going after a coach like John Aloisi 👀

[Josh @Jsinno7]

@MarcoGama2 He was available, his contract ended on June 30 and was extended in July. PG had the opportunity to sign him for this season, discussions took place late last season. Although it was considered, the role was never formally offered as the club chose to retain Zdrilic.

[Josh @Jsinno7]

While I credit Ross and the management team for making the call now, the decision should have been made last season. The new head coach now faces the challenge of regrouping in-season and leading the team to the finals without the benefit of a pre-season.

[Perth Glory FC @PerthGloryFC]

PGFC can confirm that the club’s @aleaguemen's Head Coach David Zdrilic has been relieved of his duties.
We thank David for his hard work and professionalism during his tenure and wish him every success in his future endeavours.

@ALeague39542 @Matias25033483 Not sure of his exact involvement in the decision, but I know he wasn’t previously supportive of a change, given he was the one who originally brought David in.

[Josh @Jsinno7]

@Matias25033483 The decision should have been made last season. Because we finished the year with a brief uplift in form, he was given more time. The replacement is already lined up and in advanced talks, and I’m confident this same appointment could have been made at the start of pre-season.

Mario Balotelli's wish to play in the #ALeague might be granted by @PerthGloryFC @aleaguemen

@ALeague39542 @BenSmith94 @gmase2020 @ZizouSzn10 I haven’t heard anything definitive about why it didn’t proceed, but it was most likely John’s preference to continue with WU.

“Ross Pelligra plans to spend $1 billion on developing a mixed-use precinct with training fields and a mini stadium, which will be funded by commercially run medical suites, a hotel, office and build-to-rent residential accommodation in the WA capital.”

@ALeague39542 @BenSmith94 @gmase2020 @ZizouSzn10 My position is clear - Ross and Stan are actively pursuing John Aloisi. Whether they can secure his signature depends on several variables. That said, I wouldn’t have shared this if I wasn’t confident in my information.

[Josh @Jsinno7]

@ALeague39542 I believe Stan is still a key factor in the operations. I don’t see him leaving anytime soon.

[Josh @Jsinno7]

Perth Glory have reignited their interest in John Aloisi for next season, with his brother Ross also a potential addition. While discussions with Aloisi are still early, no final decision has been made to move Zdrilic on, with the results in the last five games set to be pivotal.

[Josh @Jsinno7]

@ALeague39542 I’ve got strong mail that it’s definitely on the table. There’s still a bit to play out, but the club is definitely going hard after Aloisi.

[Josh @Jsinno7]

If Stan and Pelligra can pull off this kind of coup, it will significantly enhance their reputation as football administrators and owners. It would also reinforce PG as a professional club with high standards, rather than one that tolerates and accepts poor performance.
