That should lead to less arguing and more problem solving. I remember in the one Hollywood negotiation we were arguing over different things that we didn’t even know about and one we clearly communicated our goals we were able to efficiently come to a solution. #CDR21
You need to know exactly what you want/need and then be able to communicate that while listening while the other party communicates their share. #CDR21
I generally view conflict the same now as I did when I started class in the fall. I always knew it was necessary to maintain a healthy relationship. #CDR21
@Maritza_2101@lilybuslerr@lilyodaspok That’s very true. I have learned to not take things personally as I usually make up intentions in my head that just are not there. #CDR21
@lilybuslerr@lilyodaspok That’s why it’s important to always say how you feel and ask how the other party feels so you can both completely understand the situation. #CDR21
@lilyodaspok You are always in conflicts. Whether it’s with yourself or other people. There are always internal conflicts going on when you are making choices. #CDR21
One always needs to be heard, not matter the outcome of the conflict. I think that listening and understanding are important traits in a person. #CDR21
@brandothoughts1 Our approach to arguments with friends and family usually need to be different than that with other people. Sometimes it may also require yielding more than you would in the average negotiation or at least acknowledging their view. #CDR21
@brandothoughts1 I think that method might be good for winning an argument that you need to win or against someone you don’t know. However, using it with someone who you want to maintain a relationship will not end well. #CDR21
@lilybuslerr I always viewed it at somewhat damaging but knew that partners need to get their gripes out for the relationship to be healthy as long as it is not in a toxic manner. #cdr21
@hasz_jax @JA_CDR_Buff Usually after the 24 hours the parents decided not to send the message and conflict was avoided. Some people can’t handle their emotions and this rule helped them. #CDR21
@hasz_jax @JA_CDR_Buff Back when I played youth sports parents would always have problems with the coaches. To try and avoid arguments there was a 24 hour rule.
Any parent had to wait 24 hours after games to contact the coach about something.#CDR21
@Maritza_2101 Like I am not bothered if they cannot hang out or talk because they are busy or working hard on something but I still expect them to at least let me know why they are not around much #CDR21.
@Maritza_2101 That’s understandable from your friends side. If I was ignored by my close friends I would feel hurt and annoyed. The bare minimum to maintain the relationship is communication #CDR21
